Had a silent call 1 hour ago, will say F off next time!

Phone went silent when I picked up.

The answer to all your questions (should be of no surprise) - I received a further call from 'Crystal Debt Advisory' 0161-241-2080 at 09:17 hrs on Tuesday 17th November 2009. As an Investigator, I thought this time I would obtain a little more information on this call. The contact caller quickly passed my call over to another Indian sounding male who provided his name as 'Harshil' when they beleived my outstanding debt was in the region of £300k. When questioned further the male stated that his office address was in Leicester but went on to say that he was not authorised to provide a full business address; this continued throughout the call. When I asked why the number he had dialed from came up on caller ID as a Manchester prefix he admitted that the call was an 'internet call'. When questioned further he provided me with a fictitious web address - again I explained that I was on the web site and there was no reference to 'Crystal Debt Advisory' it was at this point he admitted that he had provided a false web address but went onto claim that they were a registered company, so I quickly brought up companies house web site and made a search - I explained that Crystal Debt Advisory were not a UK registered company. After a lot of apologies for lying and a promise that he would delete my details from their system he finally admitted that he was calling from a call centre located in India before hanging up the call. The individuals responsible for these calls have proved themselves to be liars and I only hope that no one in the UK with a legitimate debt issue has been tricked into doing any sort of business with 'Crystal Debt Advisory' I fear they would only cause more stress and financial harm.

thought i would let you all know that ive had NO more calls since i answered the hone with 'hello, Greater Manchester Police....can I help you?'   lol

This number called but left no message. Later 0844 8466519 rang, and the 2 numbers are associated. The 0844 number asking for a chap who used to have my business phone number 5 years before I took over.

how are we ganna stop them cos there isnt alot anyone can [***] do as ive phoned alot of people about them .....there just ganna keep callin arnt they ???

called this number back, no answer, only the message that the number wasn't recognised, now, if they don't know who they are, how in the hell are we supposed to lol!

Just had call - heavy African accent. Tried to redial and unobtainable. Threatened them with legal action and they said they got my number from the "commercially available phone database"!!!!!

If anyone gets an address from them let me know and I'll go and pay them a visit - I live and work in Manchester.

This number has called me many times so I was curious when it rang and I was actually at home. Anyway, went along with this so-called helpful debt agency. Was passed from one Indian sounding woman to another then passed to a well spoken Englishman who said he would put me on hold. At this point someone then came on the line telling me they were from CHURCHWOOD FINANCE at Stockport. I then realised they were about to try and sell me a consolidated loan. This long pantomime is all about getting you to try for a loan. Funny thing is I've just noticed that they actually have a link on this site. . . . so what you going to do about that now then ?

Just had a call @ 8.45am from this number and yesterday around dinnertime i didnt answer but did try ringing it back but it rings once then i get "this number has not been recognised!" after reading some posts on hear now i will def not be answering it might be a scam.

You'll find that its also linked to 08448466519. They claim to be Crystal Debt Advise. Cold calling winds me up!!! And you'll find this number actually rings too although ive not managed to get through to anyone yet.

jus had another call from this number (see caller id) and got the silent treatment!

I've Been trying to stop these calls for over a year. Every time I query who the company is, or ask for a phone number I get cut off. Today I went along with them and was finally passed to Churchwood Finance in Stockport tel 0800 2800051. Churchwood claim they can't do anything about the call centre contacting me, they claim the complany is Capital India HK.

Had numerous calls from these... I've got caller display and answering machine so let it go to that...

Bloody irritating tho - Something should be done.. I'm sure if they were offering Kiddie-Porn it'd be dealt with in minutes!!!

Seems to me TPS, OFCOM, VIRGIN Media etc just can't be [***] to protect their clients... Shame on them!

This number keeps ringing me.  everytime I answer they hang up and the number is not recognised when I try to call it back.  I'm ex-directory and very angry!

Just had this number call me,silent no sound at other end.

Had a call today from this number - male with Indian sounding accent - talking about government scheme to help clear unsecured debt. I initially said I was at work (which I was) and didn't want to talk about anythin of that nature but he insisted then when I told him I didn't have much unsecured debt he went away. Rather annoying and disturbing as he appeared to want me to confirm postcode and so on. If I were a gullible individual I might have given a whole lot of personal information away.

We have had 2 calls in 2 days - same thing as above, Indian accent claiming to be a Government debt advisory scheme.  Gave false web address.  Have reported to Trading Standards, so will see what happens.
