Where do they get our numbers from?!

Stop calling me! Whatever you are selling, if I needed it I would have called you already!!!

This number has been calling lately but I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know. They have tried three times already today. Is there any way I can block these calls?

Had 2 calls in a matter of seconds, first on my mobile then on the home phone, they hung up as soon as I answered so I phoned them back and gave them an earful. A rape alarm being sounded down the phone should help clear his sinuses if you happen to have one handy!!

Just got a call from this number and immediately reported it to the Ministry of Justice.

Has rung me several times but I've not answered. Don't think I ever will!

I had a call from some guy on this number, he said am i speaking to Mr ----- / yes thats me i said, he then said can you confirm you address - i said for the purpose of what, he said to verify we have the correct information, i said i would not confirm any thing over the phone, he then said he could offer me compo on my loan, i said oh right - what loans have i had or got to which he repied i dont know,
I said you dont know and yet you call me offering this service, i said if you think i am owed any money send it to me in the post.

He hung up,
Always question who and why a person is calling, they dont expect to have a reply like this, if all else fails tell them to fook off.

I took an unsolicited call from this lot. They got my details wrong asking for someone unknown at my address. This is a company called Claims Advisory Group.

Started getting calls from this number yesterday, had four so far. I googled the area code, saw it was Manchester, and as I don't know anyone in Manchester got VERY suspicious. I tried to call back today to find out who it was and was instantly on hold, which made me even more suspicious and I hung up. My friend pointed me here, and for that I'm glad, reading the messages I know to ignore them (Although they call when I'm working so they never get through).  What bothers me most is how they got my number. I've had the same one for four years, and never had anything like this before. I'm really careful with all of my personal details, mobile number, address, email address... So I've not given it out and I never give permission for my details to be used by third parties. Someone needs to investigate this, because frankly it's disgusting. Saved the number on my phone as "Manchester Scammers" and warned my friends. If they keep calling I'll be making some kind of formal complaint, to as many people as will listen. I don't like being harassed, I don't like my personal details being bandied around. I'm glad I don't have a landline for them to bother me on aswell.

How are they getting everyones numbers?

hi i have noticed that when i make a payment to a debt recovery service eos solutions a couple of days later this number always calls me constantly for about 3 weeks so i feel they may well be linked in some way

Tell them nothing - they are fishing for information and will likely use it to scam you - or better still, just hang up.

Started recieving missed calls from various nos, this one and others over the last couple of weeks. Answered one earlier today as a local London no and they were selling Fine wine investment options. had my name address etc & said got info from LLoyds Investments, blah blah. Called my bank and said this was impossible!

I have been receiving calls from 0161 478 1190 for the past 3 months now approx 5 times a day, every day!!!) No one answers when I pick up the phone it either goes dead or I get the engaged tone! I try to ring back and it is constantly engaged!
So I tapped the phone number into Google and saw all your comments. THANKYOU EVERYONE!!!

I rang the freephone number 0800 393 664 and told them to remove my number from their database which they did immedaitely (I hope) (Well I will know within next few hours anyway coz the calls will stop!)

To be fair to them they was pretty nice on the phone and polite enough. So I will give them this chance but if they continue to ring me I will go absoltuely mental at them!

Try the free phone number guys it's worth a shot. You need to also be ringing them off the number that they constantly ring you on as it flashes up on their system. Good luck!!

Also been getting this call and several others since I had a deleivery from John Lewis Oxford Street! I've called the store to report my concerns, but they were dismissive of the posibility of one of their staff giving out selling my details! I haven't had my address or mobile number given out together to anyone else in months so my gut feeling is to JL staff.
