- RockDoctor| 1 replyUsual £1000 scam message.
Next time they call, I'll try to tie up their operator for as long as possible. And I'm really going to have to get a whistle. Waste their time, then try to deafen their employees.- Call type: Telemarketer

- Topsy54| 2 repliesRecorded voice telling me that as I am under 60 years of age I am entitled to £1,000 because of private pension.

- john| 1 replya simple putdown is necessary
- Caller: £1000 trap
- Nan replies to johnDon't just put the 'phone down. Report these automated calls to the Information Commissioner's Office. That way we can get something done.
- Nan replies to Topsy54As so many people are saying in posts on this website, TPS DOES NOT WORK FOR AUTOMATED CALLS. Complaining to them achieves nothing. These calls should be reported to the \|Information Commissioner's Office. It's easy on the ICO website and you don't need the caller's name, only the number.

- PenderinReceived a call from 01618263251 today. Same offer of £1000 pension bonus. Clearly fraudulent. Has anybody yet reported this to the police? This is a standard geographic landline which should be easily traced, should it not?
- Caller: Not known
- PenderinI have now phoned the local police who suggested I telephone 03001232040 (Action Fraud) seemingly a police division reachable on line at www.actionfraud.police.uk (See 'Facts' earlier message). Don't sit back! Report these leeches. Somebody, somewhere is being conned out of money they can not afford!
- Caller: Not known
- EdwardI get these types of calls all the time. My landline is permanently on silent, unless I know I am expecting a call. Anyone that is remotely important to me, will contact my mobile. I don't even know why I've got a landline to be honest, I get more free calls on my mobile.

www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/complaintformcib.htm for reporting dodgy companies - nickwilcockI received the same scam recorded message yesterday (20 Feb 2013) at 15:58.
This said that "Because you're aged 60 or under, you are entitled to £1000 because of a private pension." in the same voice as the well-known 'PPI mis-selling' scam message.
You are then invited to press 5 to proceed or 9 to be deleted. DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING!!! If you do, the scammers will know that you responded and will pester you again. Just let them waste their time until you hear the constant tone when the line clears down.
I'm registered with TPS, but that seems to be a complete waste of time - they haven't stopped this sort of telepest from cold calling people.- Caller: No name supplied
