Report a phone call from 01618263251 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Fred Bear| 1 replyThese scammers calling from 01618263251 are still at it. I just let my answering machine pick up any numbers that I do not recognise from the CLID, and there are lots of them. The TPS have a lot in common with a chocolate fireguard and the last time I reported a number to the ICO I just got a message back saying that they couldn't do anything. I think they probably come from call centres abroad, (probably India), with spoofed CLID.
BT need to look into technical measures to prevent CLID being spoofed, so the number that you see on your phone is always genuine and can always be easily traced.- Caller: unknown

- SelinaReceived a call from 01618263251 this morning and the message was the same as everybody else. 15 minutes later another call came it was unavailable number, I didn't answer. Sometimes this happens from same kind of companies.

- jackie54Like everyone else have had calls from this number.Realised this is a scam so didn't press 5 or 9.Why do we have to put up with this crap.
- alanGot call from 01618263251 just now inviting me to press 5 to claim my £1000 private pension bonus for being under 60 (I'm not!).
Terminated the call without pressing the number. - Canard| 1 replyCalled today at 12.00. I went for Option 5 to find out who they were with a view to reporting them to the ICO. They call themselves Pension Helpline, but became very brusque and hung up when I started asking THEM questions.
- Caller: Pension Helpline
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Canard replies to CanardRight. Have just reported this lot to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). I'd love to obtain an address for them, but no joy as yet.
- Val TOffering me £1,000 because I'm under 60?? I don't think so!! Just hung up and hope other people will do the same. Worried me because they mentioned 'processing payments'. I guess they are after bank details or something similar. Hope they can be stopped.
- Caller: No idea
- BoodleJust had one at 13:52.
Same recorded message as an earlier one this morning from
01218263251.
Reported that one to the ICO.- Caller: Pension Helpline
- jcalled and when I answered there was silence with just background noise then they hung up
- lotus7They have just phoned me, they are now in my call blocker.
- PeterAlthough we are registered with the TPS, this number called today. Our answerphone successfully put them off.
- Caller: unknown
- GillFed up of these calls got caller ID
IF I don't recognise number i don't answer :-(- Caller: don't know
- mark scottu can't stop them - it is organised crime in india - ultimately they r after your bank a/c and in the meantime a small by-product is selling on 'live' phone numbers, which gives it the appearance of legitimacy
there's nothing the TPS or ICO can do about it - it's like going to trading standards saying your cocaine wasn't any good:) this is high level criminality so beyond the powes of TPS or ICO who are for legimtimate companies who break the rules- Caller: Uknown
- KermitCalled from this number. Recorded message saying because I am under 60 (I'm not!) I am entitled to £1000 because of private pension. Then says to press 5 to proceed or 9 to be deleted.

For the third week we return to the growing crime of persuading people to transfer their pension savings into recently registered pension schemes and taking huge fees for illegally letting them have some of their money back. This week - the legal aspects. Is the law adequate to help trustees stop the transfer when they suspect a scam? And if not, will the Government pass new laws to protect desperate people from the crooks - and themselves? We speak to a pensions lawyer and Pensions Minister Steve Webb.
