Report a phone call from 01618263251 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- RaphaelReceived recorded message call from this Manchester area number, an exact repetition of a call received previously from a Birmingham number, about a £1,000 pension pay out in 6-12 weeks and told to select 5 for processing or 9 to opt out.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Nan replies to boto fogaTPS DO NOT DEAL WITH PRERECORDED CALLS. These should be reported to the Information Commissioner's Office.
- SpadgeI received this coded message stating as I was under 60 I was entitled to a bonus of £1000 in respect of my pension payments. What a load of load of codswallop! I am nearly 80 and have been retired for over 20 years. What can be done to stop this criminal activity. I still have my full mental capabilities but what about older people who could easily be taken in by this scam and reveal details of their bank account. Surely somebody knows who uses this telephone number and could take action. The TPS says it cannot do anything about recorded messages. Whjy can't it?
- tinsel replies to Mrs E EdwardsReport them http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/marketing.aspx
- MinnieWe have today received a message to the effect that because one of us was under 60 we were entitled to a £1000 bonus and asked to press "5" to speak to them or "9" if we had already received the bonus. They did not identify themselves nor say which member of the household was entitled to the bonus. I checked the telephone number using Google and your website showed that many others have had the same call.
- Caller: Did not identify themselves
- Emzy01618263251 called today at 15.30 saying same as above about pressing 5 or 9 for the £1000 hung up. if you didnt hang up id call your phone line provider and make sure ur not getting charged or ask for the number to be blocked. THANKS to the people who had posted above we didnt know if hanging up was the right thing and are going to call the DWP tomorrow.
- R S LunnHave had two calls from this number. Have not responded.
Seems just to be an inducement to call back re claimed prize. - anunhappybtcustomerThis number keeps calling me, why can't BT stop these Telemarketer calls. I have reported it to http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/marketing.aspx.
Does these website do anything other than let people complain and does any1 do anything about it on this site. Because I beginning to wonder why this site is on the internet???!!!T- Caller: They do not give you their company name!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- tobyAnswer machine said the same as the others on these pages - will report to TPS
- pam, just pamLike others, we've had this number on our answer machine, but no message. The last time was probably 19 February, so (noting the dates on other people's comments), these loathsome intruders have not given up yet and the TPS and ICO have not managed to get them, either.
- Caller: don't know
- Sandy DThis number as rung me several times this last week I have caller display
on my phone so I do not answer if I don't know the number but let it ring

- kevcalls from this number must be a scam. if you are due any kind of bonus you would be notified by post.
- tobyI reported to tps but this is the response for Recorded Messages (i've done a copy and paste from their web site). Please read to the end for helpful info.
Recorded Message
Telephone Preference Service (TPS) will help reduce receipt of live unsolicited direct marketing calls but will not stop pre- recorded calls.
Organisations that use recorded phone message to try and sell or promote their products or services have to comply with the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. These say that marketers who leave recorded phone messages must obtain prior consent from the subscriber before they can make such a call.
Where a subscriber receives a recorded phone message they haven't agreed to there may have been a breach of the regulations. If you are receiving recorded messages and have not given prior permission and can identify the organisation leaving the message, you can complain directly to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), who are the body responsible for enforcing the above regulation. Their details are:
Information Commissioner’s Office
Tel: 03031231113
Web: www.ico.gov.uk
copy and paste the following link - this should get you to the relevant page to make a complaint.
http://www.ico.gov.uk/for_the_public/topic_sp ... ting/calls.aspx
PLEASE COMPLAIN - Even If the company is genuine they are still in breach of the above regulation if you haven't given your consent.
The organisation that can stop or slow down these phone calls will have the gratitude of an entire nation. - rogerplease stop these calls!
- Fed up with useless gvt agenciesGreat! we have a potential pension fraud, 12 pages of peole know the phone number (and therefore the phone company can tell the authorities who it is - they don't give service to people who they can't bill!). And nobody gives a damn or actually takes a complaint seriously (TPS in particular!). I suggest an email to your MP. If we all do that something may happen, but the organisations that are supposed to be doing it are clearly just buck passing to each other. BTW the TPS is wrong to imply that you need to know who it is in order to complain to the ICO. They ask for the name of the organisation "If known." Do not, under any circumstances, hold your breath waiting for anything to be done 'though.
- Caller: They won't say!
- Fed Up replies to Fred BearNo Fred it's a Manchester number. I rang 'em back (Putting 141 in front of course!) and a message said not to worry that I had been called and they may or may not ring back! The arrogant ******** (expletive deleted) are clearly just thumbing their noses at the ICO because they know the ICO are a waste of taxpayers money! Oh yes and they still haven't got the guts to identify themselves.
- You Are Just As Bad| 1 replyThis web site is about as much use as the TPS, the ICO, and IXTIS put together. I have visited the site loads of times and never had the question "Who calls me?" answered. Just page after page of whining. Site should be called whoelseiswhingingaboutthesamecallerasigotinsteadofgettingofftheirarseanddoingsomethingaboutit.com I agree with Mr Fed up above - MPs are probably a good try - it's a cheap way of getting votes without upsetting party policies, or upsetting their careers. Those who want to have a go can start here (I have!) http://www.parliament.uk/about/contacting/mp/
- Nan replies to You Are Just As BadWhat a load of rubbish. If you get a prerecorded call and they do not give a company name, then of course, people can't say who called. They can however, say what the contents of the call were. People also leave advice about what to do about certain calls. If it's an overseas call with a fake number, again people can say what the call was about and what the number was. In cases where the callers name is know then people post that name. I can only assume you have only checked out prerecorded numbers. As for contacting your MP, that is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
- W CourtFortunately it is very obviously a recorded telemarketing call, and hence immediately dumped, but I would like to find out who they are to have them reprimanded for breaking TPS rules.
