- Jacquie WI received a call from this number at 5.23pm today. A recorded message stated that it was "urgent" and informed me I was due £1000 pensions refund. It went on to tell me to press 5 for an instant connection to an operator. I hung up. There was no mention of a company name or information as to why I was due this refund. Like some of the others have mentioned, I am also registered with the Telephone Preference Service and should not be receiving these calls.
- John DGot a call today, 22-10-12, at 16-27, Didn't recognise number and listened to the message which said i also had won £1000, and said it was urgent i pressed 9, .......BEWARE, PRESSING 9 WILL CONNECT YOU TO A PREMIUM RATE AND THEY WILL KEEP YOU TALKING, YOU WILL BE PAYING ANYTHING BETWEEN £5 AND £15 A MINUTE FOR THE CALL AND THERE IS NO £1000
- Caller: UNKNOWN
- PaulineI had a missed call from this number today at 10.52am, no message was left. Thanks to your site I will be prepared for them if and when they ring back.

- ValGot a call from this number at around 4.30 today - same as the others, pre-recorded message telling me I was due £1000. Obviously some sort of scam, so I just hung up. Agree with other comments about the TPS - don't know why they can't block/trace these calls if they get sufficient complaints.
- patricia N.I had a similar call last week 18th or 19th, seemed very fishy to me.
- Caller: iychen Valley Pest Control

- GrahamJust received same recorded message call from 01619610056 promising a £1000 pension bonus if I would just press 5. It was so clearly a fraud that I hung up and checked this site. I expect that pressing 5 or any number would just connect to a premium rate line at very high rates.
- Caller: unknown
- David EI also had a missed call from this number today at 15:30, no message was left. Thanks to your site I will be prepared for them if and when they ring back
- fedup| 2 repliesA quick dig on the internet shows that THE PENSIONS HELPLINE LIMITED has a director by the name of Kenneth C Reason. This person works for St. James's Place Wealth Management Plc which is regulated by the FSA. THE PENSIONS HELPLINE LIMITED is not. Anything related to Pensions Advice should be regulated by the FSA so obviously not a kosher company. Suggest we all email Mr Reason at St James Wealth Management PLC to advise him to prevent further cold calls from an unregulated company that he is connected to otherwise we approach the FSA to question why he is still licensed! Lets see how he likes unsolicited contact.

- JohnFound a message on my answerphone from earlier today. Omly the last part of the message was recorded but it promised my £1000 if I was under 60 (which I am not) and asked me to press 5. Really wasted my time as I was expecting an important message.

- peterPPI automated assertion that they had £1000 waiting for, and to press a button ( which of course I didn't) to claim it

- BabyFaceI have just received a call from this number (Thursday 25th October 2012 @ 15:26)
Exactly like Peter Lanc Reported on the 17th October.
"pre-recorded message about a £1,000 refund. Invites one to press 5 to connect or 9 to "unsubscribe". Message does not identify who is ringing and is unclear about why a refund is forthcoming." I did not select any number and then the caller aborted the call. I too had, had a number of withheld calls earlier this week.
If you believe as I do that is this a scam then please report it to

- ChrisReceived a call from 01619610056 today (Friday 26/10/12) at 13.22. Very urgent sounding recorded message - a young woman - saying there was £1000 for me as I'm '60 or under'. I'm not so I just hung up.
I too am registered with the Telephone Preference Service and have received far fewer scam calls since registering but they should be able to block this too.
I shall report it to scams@oft.gsi.gov.uk .- Caller: Unknown
- cautiousI received a call today at 10.20am 29/10/12 - same old urgent recorded message from a female whose accent may be from Manchester. She informed me I was due £1000 pensions refund. It went on to tell me to press 5 for an instant connection or 9 to deregister. I waited and did nothing - the call disconnected. I am also registered with the Telephone Preference Service.
Interestingly when I tried 1471 to find the caller's number, I was told that it had been withheld.....- Caller: unknown
- redherringReceived this same call today from 0161 961 0056 - Urgent - you have a pension bonus of £1000 - press "5" now or "9" to unsubscribe. Reported to appropriate authorities but it takes an age for these lines to be shut down.
