Does anyone know who this is I've had the same experience as the above, very annoying.The woman I spoke to said it was the pension helpline, I just put the phone down.

Pre recorded message about private pension plan. Cut them off.

This number called was a recorded female voice concerning my pension, and that's as far as it got when I put the phone down. Another nuisance call even though I am registered with TPS

I received a call from 01619610056 morning. I didn't recognise the number so didn't answer it. They left a message which was clearly a scam:  they said I was under 60 which isn't true!  I assume the press 5 and 9 options involved a premium charge.

I answered this this morning, and was a bit groggy so pressed 9 and within seconds hung up and called BT.  Being with sky they referred me to them and sky were absolutely useless.  Have I incurred a charge and will it be limited to the few seconds?

I get six or more of these unwanted calls everyday sometimes all they say in wierd voice is GOODBYE
  this is scary for older people

Got the same bogus £1000 call. If it was real they would start with company name. I've got TPS so a second call and I fill in the offical complaint form but not sure how much good that does.

also got call today..went to ansaphone and half message missed....always look up numbers on here..defo a scam

I received the same recorded message today 3rd december, wish someone was able to put stop to annoying calls. I feel sorry for the elderly and vunerable

Pre-recorded message regarding £1K pension refund. Tried to contact them to give them what for but all I got was another pre recorded message.
TPS? ---- What a load of (male) reproductive equipment. (spherical objects)

I received the same recorded message as have all previous callers complaining about this number.  I pressed 5 and got a live female voice asking me if I was under 60.  When I said No she apologised and said she would remove me from their database.  When I asked who her company was she rang off.

Just received the same call on the answerphone, pre-recorded, female, north-east accent. The biggest worry for me is my mother will be more vulnerable to these types of call despite being warned to always leave them to the answering machine unless she knows the caller personally.

This is one of the lowest forms of scam, working on people's weaknesses and taking advantage of the poor financial state of the country.

Called this number at 11.43 p.m. and got the following message -
This number has been held for a customer. No destination has been allocated.
The next time they call me, I'll pick up the receiver but leave it lying for a few minutes so they can't disconnect. This has worked for other nuisance calls. Other calls which do answer are often put off by ten minutes of very loud radio played into the receiver or that the call has been blocked by XXXX Police - insert your own force.

Have received three calls from this number in the last 10 days, the last one being yesterday 5th December at 16.10.
Each time it was as described by others, a womans voice inviting me to press five or nine.
Guessed it was a scam and just hung up the phone.
If she rings again I will leave the phone off the hook as suggested or play her some very loud music.
