Persistent pest, keeps on ringing  at all sorts of times. If they get the answerphone they never leave a message.

This number is claiming to be from BT chasing old customers up to try and lure them back to BT or thats the gist of it before I snapped at them and told them to remove my name from there data base and the cheeky sod even had the cheek to ask why I didn't want to speak to them so I said I don't appreciate cold callers especially when my number is ex direct! So someone somewhere is selling telephone numbers!

Rang to say they were from BT and trying to sell a broadband package.
They did not sound very genuine so just said goodbye.

I've had appx 10 recorded messages per week from this company. It's very annoying. But the only time wasted is theirs. I never call back.

Why do I have go go all the hassle to do this? We never opt-in right from the beginning with BT and asked them not to share any of our details with any one. Why should we waste of our time because someone is trying to make a money of it?

They are strill at it - I've had a call from 01709 764400 - found out from using 1471 - they could have left message but did not. Am on TPS.

Rang bt complaints, they have never heard of this number as a bt contact.and couldn't match what the scammers were offering.registered the complaint with bt.they will investigate now.

Got a call from this number today, claiming to be a dental practice about my appointment tomorrow. Seeing as I am nowehere near Rotherham and it isn't my dentist's number, I am ignoring it. (they did have my surname though). They left a message on the answering machine but I shan't call back as that's probably how they  pester you when you call back

Just received another call whilst feeding my baby, said from
bt and asked to speak to my husband. I said not available we are not with BT please take number off list. Caller said would need to speak to my husband in order to do this. I persisted asking him to take number off. He said there were some 'issues' on our account and he needed to speak to my husband. We don't have an account and haven't for years. He then put phone down!

No wonder there is a swipe card entry system on the door because if the wasn't one I'd be petrol bombing the place!

Got a call from this number today.  Did not answer the phone.  Did a 1471 check.  No message left on the answer machine so will ignore it.

I've been getting constant calle from this number as well, though I've yet to answer it.  I've just rang BT to complain and they deny it is them trying to call, but I can pay to block this number, even though I am a customer and I am on the TPS!
If you let the person speak, then state: 'Put me on your don't call list', then by law, they are not allowed to ring you for ten years.

We have had 2 calls today from 01709764400 with a women being quite persistant wanting us to go onto a broadband for BT and it would be quicker than present on our line. She asked for my husbands name and I told her he was not in, when can I call back etc etc.

my husband answered the call and all they did was laugh then hang up.

I've had 11 calls from this number over the past 2-3 weeks. Fortunately I can 'bar' numbers on my landline handset, and having found out much the same information as others (by calling the number well out of hours and prefixing it with 141 to hide my number) I have since 'barred' it. When I checked the call log on my handset, I found they had been trying me almost every day, and always between 12 noon - 2pm. Great thing about barring numbers on my Panasonic handset is that the phone doesn't even ring!!

I had a call from them today and have just been on the Online chat with BT and told them to make sure I am not contacted by this number again. I have been told this has been done.  I have kept a copy of the transcript which I will follow up if they do ring again.

They ignore our TPS settings: NO CALLS

Posed as BT and try and to sell Broadband but can't answer any serious questions about the service.

They dumbly insist the BT package must be faster because "we provide the line", they are gob smacked when we point out our provider has their own broadband equipment in the exchange, the sales script didn't cover this, thus the long silence.

Had a call from the above num saying it was a courtesy call from BT inquiring whether i would like BT broadband, i told them that we were allready with them so dismissed this as phoney call.
If not sure best to say NO.
