- pauli recieved a call from this number the girl who rang went on to tell me my the insurance for my new samsung galaxy had gone down in price since i took the phone out from £10.99 to £5.99 and she needed to make me aware of it..... i asked if whatever it was that i was agreeing to had anything to do with the insurance i signed up to in the shop.?. she replied yes its the same thing but its gone down in price.. I told her to go ahead and read out all my bank card details which she said she already had.... a few days later i noticed £10.99 still leaving my bank account, unsure whats going on at this point i then rang the car phone warehouse they have no records of any such discount .. they advised that I should contact my bank and make them aware what had happened because as far as they are aware this company is phoning there customers using the name carphone warehouse and then they set up a new insurance which is almost impossible to cancel....i have rang my bank but i am still worried about it

- CPLGot a call this afternoon promising to reduce my insurance payments... How could I have been so stupid?! I thought they were P4U, but thinking about it, why would they need my bank details again, and why didn't they know my phone make and model?
I'm going to be going on holiday in the next few days so won't be able to cancel within the 14 day period... But the sods aren't getting money off me, phoning trading standards on Monday!- Caller: These pricks.

I have just received a call from one of your representatives who absolutely did not advise me that he was calling from REI, infact I had to google your telephone number to find out the name of your company. He certainly implied that he was calling me from Vodafone, asking me how I liked my new handset (as this handset actually replaced a faulty handset I had received I thought this was a genuine Vodafone call).
Then he advised me that he would be effecting 'the insurance' as if this was something I had previously arranged, then he told me I was getting two months free and only paying £ 5.99 per month thereafter, again as if I had already asked for this.
When I expressely stated I did not want insurance, he just cut me off.
After some thought I called Vodafone customer services to complain, who obviously denied any knowledge of the call, so I write now to concur with some of the comments above, some members of your sales force are unprofessional, discourteous and missleading; if it was worthwhile to pursue this I would, but it's surely a waste of time.- Caller: REI

- Hp28I recieved 4 calls within the space of a week of getting my new phone, the second time i got so angry i hung up and shouted at the lady on the phone because she called me stupid then kept ringing back my phone to keep on telling me how stupid i am. This company is a complete fraud and should not be trusted.

- MoshOur 10 year old daughter got her new SIM from Vodafone yesterday. Since then, these people have called twice. Both times, they've hung up as soon as she's passed the phone to me so I called back.
The first time I spoke to a women - didn't catch her name - who refused to tell me who they were and hung up on me.
The second time another woman apologised and asked if it was OK to speak to me rather than the child... and then tried to sell me insurance. Somehow they've got the number from Vodafone though she did mention "O2 or Vodafone". All I can guess is that these providers are handing them numbers of new contracts, or alternatively they have a list of O2 and Voda numbers that they're cold-calling. She told me the number would be taken off the list and we wouldn't hear from them again.
Either way, we ensured we'd checked all the boxes stating that Vodafone were not permitted to pass the number on to other companies or to contact it themselves for marketing etc. so someone is doing something dodgy regardless.- Caller: Unsure - didn't say

- BenI just had a call from these guys where the guy was just laughing down the phone. A bit weird so I called back and they claimed to be a givernment appointed body who 'randomly' generate numbers to call to help people claim back payment protection insurance.... They asked for £199 feee for a no win no fee complaint against my bank. The fee is apparently returnable. I asked for the companies web address Total Financial Solutionstfs-dcm-claims.co.uk which I visited and got this warning Threat: Mal/Iframe-AD
Threat source : http://tfs-dcm-claims.co.uk/
The requested location contained malicious content and was blocked from downloading.
So not only is this company an aggressive telesales blight on the uk. They also try and infect your computer. Disgusting. I'll be complaining to the FSA and look forward to your service being revocked.- Caller: TFS claims

- davidMr smith why do you not address the questions or problems people are having. The staff are rude, I have been laughed at by your staff insulted and swore at. The customer service is appallingly, either the training they receive is awful or they have the worst manners. I would never ever go with this company. Especially when they tell me my insurance is currently 9.99 when it isn't, and also didn't tell methat they didn't work for phonesforu at all intact he led me to beleivebthat he did work for them and dodged the question when I asked him. Appalling service, deliberately deceiving and are purely trying to dupe people into going with them.
- EdI have reported this number to the police, trading standards and ofcom, been called multiple times by 01792893377. (14 times in total since i purchased a new i phone 4s a few days ago) . When I did answer...male voice with heavy welsh accent just simply told me he was making a courtesy call to verify my bank details are correct before my insurance paperwork gets posted to me, I asked him 3 times if he was referring to the same phone insurance I took out with the carphone warehouse? 3 times he replied yes this is the same insurance and claimed to have in front of him my bank details that I gave in the shop. I questioned why he had my bank details without me knowing anything about them being passed on.. he replied 'the shop had passed my details to them because they are my insurance company , and all I needed to do was to verify the sort code and account number for security purposes, he kept repeating questions and ended each one in 'that's correct even though I purposely gave him a wrong account number'. Then I just hung up. Just to note...for a few days prior to this call I had received 13 other similar calls from 01792893377. ...not sure if it is intended to use up owner's minutes and gain personal information, or see if the phone number called is actively engaged in an account so the scam caller can utilise the number through jacking systems' .

- KazombieSick of getting phone calls from this company! If its not one its another!
I finally answered after 3 weeks of being bagdered, got a very garbled introduction, followed swiftly by "do you have insurance for this phone" I replied with a very stern "No." and The woman (who didn't even introduce herself) said "Thanks for your time" and put the phone down on me.
Tell me the point in that? Stop calling me!- Call type: Telemarketer

- kim replies to REII agree with you as I've had 7 calls in half an hour I thought they would get the hint obvo not they even rang me wen I was in labour in which my mum answered and told them so they decided to wait 20 minutes and call back!!
- chellethere customer service is dreadful
rude despicable attitudes and very aggressive people who keep hanging up the phone when I call to cancel my insurance which I never asked for in the first place. - JoanaI've been getting calls daily from this number since I got my phone a week ago (from phones 4 U), saying they were from protectagadget, but when I googled the company, and called and 08 #( a different number than what initially called me) the was a message that the call can be recorded for quality purposes. seems normal.
When I called the 0179 #, a lady answered the phone immediately, and same thing, knew that i bought the phone, but didn't know what make or model. When I probed the reason for her call, she hung up.
I believe there is a company with a similar name, or masquerading as protectagadget, and the phone suppling the phone are selling your data. question is, can I go to the phone shopa nd get this sorted, or what? I have insurance and want to cancel in 3 months as a result, any advice?- Caller: protectagadget

- swansea scam veteran replies to deleted postiv worked in many places in swansea selling insurance. ppi, DM, etc and i can assure you that the product is not a scam it the way you sell it.
You blatently work or worked there Josh!
Also the term " bite the bullet" pays no relevance to the sentance you wrote. to bite the bullet means to keep quiet abot something and get on with the task even though you want to say something.
All in all Josh, its great you made the effort to pretend to be a customer but you have only tarnished the companys reputation even further by demonstrating how incompetant their employees are.
now eres £20, get ursef a nice big tin of sticky sticky...
