i have taken all the money out of my account my bank has advised me to cancel it altogether and open a new account...they aint getting a penny from me!!! - mcrgirl replies to Kevin Jokay i will thanks. i already took all the money out, so theres nothing there for them to take, but i will have to put money in when i get paid next month, so i will go to the bank and tell them. cheers.
- JK| 1 replyIve been duped by these morons as well! They sounded so legit and it was the first phone call on my mobile so i didnt think much of it... Ive already rang them up and apparently they hadnt sent off the documents to supercover so apparently its been cancelled but im not so sure. I then rang supercover who had no information but that because i made the call within an hour. Rang up bank too to stop and any direct debits... Any other advice chaps? Im getting in touch with Swansea Trading Standards as well as the police tomorrow as these scammers cannot keep getting away with this.

- chris replies to mcrgirlI have been to my bank and informed them of this company, they said that i can either close my account and set up a new one or if any money is taken i will be able to put in a fraud claim and get any money taken by them back, I called the company the other day and asked to be taken off their database, whether or not they have done so i do not know. i will just to wait and see.
- EmI had a call from this company this morning - they said they could "reduce the insurance premium" I was paying. Firstly - how have they got my number? Secondly, how do they know I have phone insurance? Thirdly, how do they know how much I'm paying?! I asked if they were at all affiliated with the insurance sold by Phones 4 U (which I do have), and the guy on the phone said they have nothing to do with them. So I said I wasn't interested but they hung up before I got chance to ask them to delete me from whatever list I'm on. I can't imagine many people who are cold called are interested in taking out cover with a company they've never heard of. Invest your time and money into advertising rather than pestering people with cold calls.

- Em replies to Martyn SmithNO Martyn Smith- this is not a mistake made by 'Fran'!!!!! It is NOT clear at all that your company aren't part of Phones 4 U / the mobile service provider. Why don't YOU listen back to these telephone recordings you keep banging on about, then you would see that your telesales agents aren't being upfront about where they are from. I had to ask the moron that called me earlier if you had any connection to Phones 4 U insurance because it sounded at first like he was. You'd be better off being upfront with people about where you are from and what you are selling so people can make an informed decision, rather than ending up with tons of messages from irate people slagging off your company on forums like this.
- coummm how do i cancel it or is it best to just get a new bank account?
- United replies to GSSooo Gs you don't think phones4u get commission of your insurance deal?? They do it via a 3rd party company and charge you more just to put cash in their own pocket.... Thats why they don't want you changing...... DIMWIT
- digbyI too have had a recent experience with this company & a certain Martyn Smith. I was cold called a few days after buying a new phone at P4U. The guy told me that I could save several pounds per month by switching to his company. He told me that I didnt need to do anything & the new policy would replace the existing one with Policy Admin. I asked him if the cover was the same & he assured me it was. Ive since discovered that smartphones arent covered for accidental loss & the excess is 100 pounds not 50 as before. Also at no point did he tell me to phone my bank & cancel the direct debit I had set up in the shop.I also gave him my bank details as, believe it or not it sounded genuine & legit.
2 days later I realised that the original direct debit had been paid from my bank so I called the 01792 number & they said that everyone is told to cancel the original direct debit & the calls are recorded as part of the contract to prove it. I was 99% sure I hadnt been told so asked them to play me the recording just to prove it & I would be happy. The guy said he would do that & call me back that day, but didnt. That was a Friday, I called again on the Monday & was put through to a Martyn Smith, who maintained I had been told to cancel the DD & it was only 10 pounds so I would save that much in a couple of months with their cheaper policy which seemed like a pretty poor attitude to take. I then asked again to hear this recording & he said he would call me back but it wouldnt be that day, or the next & might be a week if I was lucky as he had to trawl through 1000s of calls. I gave him the exact time & day so it cant have been that difficult but I waited a week anyway.
Surprise surprise no call back so I called again & spoke to different manager(how many have they got!)!! He said he couldnt find me on their system so after going over the whole story again about the alleged recording he then suddenly found me but my policy had never been set up properly. I asked again about the recording & he said he would look for it & it would take 10mins & he would call me back. I asked him how it would take him 10 mins & Martyn Smith said it would take a week to which he had no answer, so either someones lying or they just dont know what theyre doing!
Anyhow this guy did actually call back & then said that my phone call had been cut off & thats why the policy hadnt been completed. I didnt get cut off I was transferred to a woman who read through some terms of the contract but this guy said that no women work there!
I had almost had enough at this point but I gave him the benefit of the doubt & he assured me that he had definitely set up the policy properly there & then & I would have my documents within 6 days. Another week passed, no documents, then I did a bit of research & found this site with numerous complaints, mention of Trading Standards, Scam etc & bizarrly a Mr Martyn Smith posting endless comments attempting to defend the company, its methods & poor customer service.
That was when the penny dropped & I immediately cancelled the policy, if there ever was one!
No money has gone from my bank yet, so in conclusion, its probably not a scam in the true sense of the word, just a bunch of cowboys with appalling customer service, incompetent staff & arrogant managers who obviously dont give a s**t.- Caller: Protctagadget
- natalieAPPARENTY my number had been randomley generated an put onto their system yet they called me asking for samantha which obviously is not my name, its pathetic how these people cn deny they're scammers when they're ringing asking for my name, adress an bank details an didn't even tell me the name of their company?? If I wanted insurance then I'd purchase it when I purchased my phone not getting unwanted calls off scammers like these. I pay £9.99 insurance according 2 these, it seems like that's the amount they're teelling everyone they pay!!! Strange!

- A concurned Ligitimate Customer serviceI would not trust this company they call customer and do fishing claiming they you have bought a phone from them when you have not you have purchased it from a phone retail as they know the retailers buy there phones numbers in bulk sequential.
Caution they are likely to be dodgy if someone calls you offering you a deal that sounds too good to be true normally it is if this number has called you I'd advise to contact your bank to stop it to be safe and speak to the company you bought your phone from for advice - Nolly replies to James Turner - Mobiles 4 Less LtdREAL ESTATE INTERNATIONAL (FINANCIAL SERVICES) LIMITED
