You sure??  You might want to check because your the only person signing the praises of this company and as for the 'research' you claimed to have carried out a simple google search would show you just what a bad reputation this company has.

I'm not getting uptight about anything - but Martyn / emma / whatever you want to call yourself today if you ring my number unsolicited trying to flog your crap insurance than I'm going to make sure as many people as possible know how underhand your company is.......

For anyone unfortunate enough to have a cold call from these jokers, while my comments maybe tongue-in-cheek look at all the other posters on here and the posts against other numbers Real Estate International use (wonder why the seem to change numbers regularly?? hmm) do NOT deal with these jokers.

(in the words of our 'Martyn')  Simples!!  :-)

Got a call from these today, less than 24 hours after I got my new Vodafone contract, telling me I could half my insurance premium.  My insurance premium is currently zero so not too sure how they would manage that!  Explained that I have insurance and the man was very polite, I just personally don't appreciate being cold called.

DONT TRUST WHAT PHONES4U TELL YOU
I got a call from this number offering me cheaper cover which I agreed to, confused after the call I immediately contacted phones 4u where I got my phone from and told them what had happened... without even asking me first what the name of the company was or anything about the company they (phones4u) immediately told me the company was fraud???? Well I am now thinking what the hell is going on? How can they tell me the company is fraudulent without knowing the company name? Anyway after that call I rang the fsa and to my surprise it turns out that real estate international financial services are a legitimate phone insurance supplier, it also turns out that the company is victim to slanderous sales techniques which are being used by companies like phones4u to get sales back. I have reported phones 4u to the office of fair trading for giving me false information to gain an insurance sale.
This sort of thing should not be allowed, its scandalous and misleading, all I want is the cheapest insurance I can possibly find like we all do, there is no need for companies like phones4u to lie because they cannot match prices available elsewhere. I am so annoyed.

    ***SOME GOOD ADVICE***

These people phoned me saying they could cut my insurance cost of my mobile phone. They asked me for my card details andI reluctantly (stupidly) gave them the card number and expiry date. When they also asked for the security code, I got cold feet, hung up and immediately cancelled my card!

If you want to reduce the cost of your insurance, simply phone the company from the details you were given when you took out your policy and tell them "It's too expensive!"

9/10 they will offer to remove one of the many things covered (eg identity fraud) and can reduce the cost of the policy by upto 50%

You will still be covered for things like accidental damage, dropping it down the toilet and theft etc - and let's face it, that's what you really want!

Don't trust people who phone you. Make the call yourself to a company you know you can trust and simply talk to them - It's good to talk!

Don't be so fickle and naive, just because my sentiments are in favour of a company it does not mean I am an employee, or associated to them in any way. I merely put my comments on here to benefit people like yourself.
And while I am here just a word of advice, what you are effectively doing is collectively known as defamation, a civil wrong that harms a reputation, so think before you write.

I am not saying this company is good or bad, but merely stating that the phones4u people offered me only 'fraudulent' as a reason why I should stay with their insurance and cancel with this company and this without even knowing the name of the company? Yet on a factual basis having done my homework with the FSA, it turned out that the company is actually legally registered with them. Hence, not fraudulent nor a rogue trader.

So back to my original intention of returning here, to update anyone who has experienced the same as I have? The phones 4u have been in touch today and apologised for the inconvenience caused to me by their employee, its been stated to me that given that their customers have been victim to fraudulent insurance companies in the past, the employee who gave me false information was merely assuming 'a might' and not factually aiming his comments at any particular organization, thus advising me what he thought was the 'safest thing for me to do' ? Apology was accepted, even though I still feel they should have at least asked for a company name before making assumptions.

My advice to anyone buying mobile phone insurance over the phone, is do your own research properly before believing what others might tell you or lead you to believe.
I have now cancelled my mobile phone insurance with both the phones 4u and Real Estate, not for any other reason other than I am now fed up with the whole scenario and will seek, and choose phone insurance elsewhere in my own time.

If you actually spent the time to go into phones 4 u and investigated yourself instead of being a geek sat in front of a computer all day trying to run an insurance firm down, i think you'll find that the gentleman is right, i will accept yoiur apology later. What an idiot. ?? fsa close people for misleading mis-selling, also banks will simply not tolerate companies using their pdq (credit/debit card machines) for fraudulently obtaining cash? they simply pull the plug!
So it would be nice to inform all our happy money saving customers that we have:
A: been authorised and regulated by the fsa for 6 (YES 6) YEARS and
B: had 2 (YES 2) PDQ systems for approx the same time!

Go away and get a job, could take you on as our tea boy as we despaerately need one!

It seems strange why Phones 4 u will offer a reduced policy only when you ring them??? why not offer a cheap policy at point of sale, i'll tell you why, its because the agents in the stores get commission for signing you up for the insurance (obvious i would have thought), then, they will tell you to keep the policy for at least a month, (this is because they are then out of their commission 'claw back' period) they then tell you to ring policy admin services to cancel the policy, they then will offer you a discounted rate, (usually £4.99) the gentleman above is correct, they will remove features of the policy, but the main thing they will remove is loss, we know this because many of their customers have returned to us because when they recieve their paperwork, loss is simply not listed in the t's and c's, irrespective of what they have been told over the telephone. I have taken many calls where Phones 4 u and Carphone Warehouse will inform customers that other insurance firms are fraudulent just to keep their commission, they can deny it because the calls over a shop counter are not recorded. Simples!

I invite every single person on here to click the little ! on the posts, i think you will find the only post with the same ip address will be mine! I have absolutely no reason to prove my company right, go into phones 4 u or cpw, and check for yourself, just tell them you have been sold phone insurance, next thing that will come out of their mouths is 'fraudulent', we have had some customers so scared by them that they have actually cancelled their whole bank accounts, i personally think its disgusting.

No one doubts that the insurance you resell costs less than what you can buy insurance from else where.

What people take issue with is that you cold call numbers that you have no right to call. A person takes out a new mobile contract and within days or weeks are repeatedly called by your company.

We will set a side for a moment the unethical way your staff engineer the call so they give the impression they are giving a courtesy call from phones 4 u and/or vodafone and concentrate on where you get our numbers........

If you are so confident that how you source your dialing data - ie our numbers is above board then why not post on here for all to see. Come on Martyn last chance to prove us wrong.

GRRR i didn't read this before i gave out my details, tried to cancel, i got hung up on. Then when i tried their other number they told me that all their 'customer services' staff were on break. I took gave my details an hour ago and the money has already left the account. I finally managed to speak to someone they asked me what type of policy i took out and for my ref. number I WAS GIVEN NONE OF THIS INFOMATION they've told me that if i send the papers back they will refund me my money during the 14 day cooling off period. Anyone know if this is likely to happen.
