So, i got a cold call from these guys claiming to be my current insurance company - they knew my name, address, bank (but not details) stated that they had halved my current cost of insurance and to process it they would need my bank account details confirmed.  When i refused and said i would call them back he stated 'sure you are on the phone now' i again stated i would not give my bank details over the phone and his tone changed and he said 'what do you want to go out for coffee?' at this point I hung up.  Their customer service is aggressive and they lie about who they are.  Best advice is block this number from calling you as their dealings are less than honest.

My partner had a call from this number explaining they were vodafone and they wanted to talk about my account, he gave them my number explaining i was the account holder, but they tried to ' DISCOUNT THE INSURANCE POLICY'' by asking my partner for my sort code and account number, when they later called me from a swansea number they tried to explain the same to me, i asked where in swansea they were based but they wouldnt tell me, they kept on about the insurance, i told them i work in sales so dont bulls**t me! and he said '' im not trying to bulls**t you jade, so he swore over the phone, i then said if you are regulated to sell insurance then you wouldnt have sworn  over the phone,
they kept ringing back and questioning why i hung up to the point where i said DONT CONTACT ME AGAIN IM SEARCHING YOUR ADDRESS AND REPORTING YOU.

jadee i too had a call from this number on friday, they asked for my bank details, i asked what for and they told me it was routine for them to ask because they work alongside vodaphone who have asked them to ring me on there behalf to discount my insurance, when i told the caller at first i want to speak to vodaphone and to ring me again later he told me ' oh f off back to afghanistan' and then he hang up, I have a slight polish accent and I am not from afghanistan so it just goes to show how un-educated these people who work for this company are.
i have checked the fsa register they are registered and changed there name many times which least surprises me if that is the way they speak to people, the address they use from the fsa website is

they rang me today, and inadvertantly i they swapped the insurance - i was at work and thought they were to do with phones4u - ran them back to try and cancel tonight but been told they have to speak to someone tomorrow about this.

just hope i can cancel without them billing me for anything

Got a call from this number a few hours ago. I had a very polite woman on the phone, but I have a few problems with this call -

1. She did not state her name nor the company she worked for, until I asked.
2. Did not read out any declarations until I asked what she was trying to sell me.
3. Actually confirmed with me that I had a Blackberry 'Curve' ...... I do not have and have never had a 'Curve' Blackberry.
4. Asked for my Account Numbers.
5. If I read right on here that you record phone calls. The woman at the end did not say this, which is illegal to not announce if you are and for what reason you are recording a call.
6. When I asked if I could write to your company, was told 'We only do these types of plans over the phone' and I was actively discouraged in writing to yourselves.
7. Was told 2 different company names over the phone that was the same company.
8. Only found on here that I would have to pay a fee up front, was not told this at any stage of the call, which I found miss-leading and technically not even legal (Well in the gray area).

I told the woman that I was not comfortable giving my Account details over the phone, and she was quite happy to give me a call some other time. She also gave me the FSA number which I found very helpful as this has helped me found your site. I will await the next call and will then tell the nice woman that I wish to be removed from the calling list, and if you do contact me again, it is well within my consumer rights to have you reported as I have purposely asked you not to.

All in all, very polite woman who called me, I think that the call was the best sales call I have ever received.

p.s I'm registering with TPS, thought you would like to know.
p.s.s How did you get my number? I have asked my mobile service supplier and my mobile contract company, and they confirmed they have not given any of my information to 3rd parties, so are you picking numbers out of a hat or is something weird going on there??

Have to agree... They rang me as well. Not impressed. I'd say use common sense...

1) Check your household insurance - many cover your mobile. Some bank accounts do as well
2) Does your phone really need insuring? You can back the sim and memory data up. Can't insure that!
3) Afford to get a new one by putting a quid in a jar every few days
4) Most of these S Wales insurance / warranty outfits are scam artists who lie

I had 7 phone calls in a row from these people. Asking for bank details and that I already had insurance with them, when I know I haven't. The guy I spoke to was VERY rude and said if I didn't give any bank details then they would cut off my contract!!! Which they clearly can't! I hung up and called my insurance firm they told me that it was nothing to do with them and my insurance is fine! They are now sending me a WITNESS form to fill in and sign and send to the police as they are investigating this.

If this company was so legit then why has there been so many complaints and the police are investigating you?

I would simply advise this:

Everyone stores this number into their phone and names it as: SCAM CALLER or DO NOT ANSWER

That way, if you are unfortunate to receive a call off them, you will not be caught out and you can just not answer the call. If they can't speak to you, they can't do any harm!

I've just had a phone call saying that they were the ones that were currently providing my insurance and they needed to confirm some details to set it up completly! Only ever seem to get this calll when i take out a contract on vodafone! (got phone from phones 4 u). hung up when they asked too many questions and in the last 5 mins they have rang my mobile 4 times and my home phone 3 times! they couldnt tell me where i had got my phone from what phone it was or even the colour!

Like others here I have also been called and conned, by giving me the immpresion that they were the insurance company I took insurance out with they made me read out all my bank card details, said they already have the details and i had to comfirm it all again because i had qualified for a 'half price' phone insurance discount. after making enquries i then found out that they have nothing to do with the insurance i already have, tried ringing them back but they keep hanging up....okay so now I will involve the police.

This is a scam number, They pretend to be the people from phone 4 you. They are not! Don't give them any details!

so how are you supposed to stop them taking money out of your account if you cant cancel it?? i just did the same thing, i feel so stupid. i aint rich and cannot afford this stuff.

I like a mug gave them my bank details as i got the call same day i took out my new contract and the guy in fones4u said i would get a call so i trusted it was them and when i went into fones4u and asked them they said goto the bank now and block all dealings with them so i did and now today i have a letter saying welcome to your new cover so im just going to ingnore the letter as ive been told its not a trusted company and now im insured through my bank to cover my phone ! dont agree to this service please!!!
