    A harrassed person
I came back from holiday to find 16 missed calls from this number 0203103400 and since then have been getting 3 or 4 calls a day on my answerphone.  I have done the same as everyone else and got the message'a representative tried to call you earier they will try again later' - They do not say who they are or what it is about - I have reported them to telephone preference service so hopefully it will stop now.

I received a call on my mobile this number today. The person asked for me by name and then identified themselves(She gave her name). She explained that she worked for a company called First Assist (http://www.firstassist.co.uk/). She also explained that they were working on behalf of the Halifax (I do have a mortgage with them) and wanted to sell me accident Insurance. At this point she wanted to ask me some questions. I then chose to decline the offer. They probably got my number from Halifax as I am sure there is some information sharing.

For all those people who are adamant that these calls ARE about unpaid credit cards:

I just recieved a call from this number and I do not have a credit card (I never intend to either) and I am not with Halifax or HBOS. They may sound convincing but it is a complete scam!

I am currently living in Australia and for the last 2 weeks I have had this number call me everyday (during the evening and early hours of the morning) on my UK mobile. I haven't answered it as it costs me money and I don't want to waste my credit on menace phonecalls. It is VERY FRUSTRATING.

I've had 16 calls from this number over the last 4 days.  The telco is Colt Telecomms, Beaufort House, 15 St Botolph Street, London EC3A 7QN.  Telephone 020-7390-3900.  They tell me the number doesn't belong to HBOS but won't say who owns it.  Asked me to email their technical team ukcfhd2@colt.net "who look after this sort of thing" but no reply after 10 hours.

Further to my comments above on 7 Jul 2008 re Colt Telecomms, their help desk came back to me next day and tell me that they have asked their client to take my number off the list.  The Colt help desk's phone numbers are UK: 0800 358 9011, Int: +44 (0) 207 390 30 30.  Still won't say who the client is.

I've had several calls from this number to my mobile over the last few days.

I answered it the first time; no-one there.

Every time after that I have rejected the call.

They have called me twice today.

Further to comments on 12 Jul 2008 above, the number is administered by Colt but used by their client Agilisys Ltd (www.agilisys.co.uk), an IT services company.  HBOS is one of Agilisys's main clients but it is of course possible that Agilisys switch the lines around according to which client needs them most.

Agilisys's Head Office is at 26-28 Hammersmith Grove, Hammersmith, London, W6 7AW United Kingdom.
    Telephone: +44 (0)845 450 1131. Fax: +44 (0)845 450 1132. General E-mail: info@agilisys.co.uk

This number is used by the HALIFAX building soc as their courtesy call line. It dials several numbers and who ever answers gets put through to an available operator, if you answer and no operator is available then you hear nothing.
Very annoying but as people called are Halifax customers, you know how to stop it !
