I have no idea who is calling me

These nuisance calls are a regular fature to me. These automated calls need to be stopped. I rang back to find out who these people are but the answer phone replies 'one of our representative tried to contact you. We'll try another time'.

I do not want any one to call me. Who are they?

I dont have a halifax or bank of scotland credit card, so not sure why they are suddenly calling me. I was contacted a week a go for a lottery scam, and I have since emailed to ask to have my contact number removed from database to stop all this cold calling.

They called me & asked am I 'whoever', I said who are you, they said Halifax, are you 'whoever'? I was thinking I don't have anything to do with the Halifax in anyway shape or form, then confirmed my name and they hung up?!

I phoned back and got the automated message saying we tried to call you and will call again. This was on my house number not my mobile which is odd because I rarely give out the landline.

Got called today at lunch time from this number, didnt answer. I am with the Halifax but made sure to tick those boxes in the hope of not getting these types of calls. I guess it didnt work.

Well someone has some facts scrambled as I have no association with Halifax in any capacity. Only had two calls so far and I don't owe any credit card company any money. So whats all this crap about Jayne?

these people are calling me about 4 or 5 times a day. 3 times on a sunday. and today, which is monday. it's the halifax debt collection department. if u do ring them, they are rude, don't listen, demand payments, stress you out, and talk over the top of you.

I have been rung by these people constantly around 5 times a day. I spoke to  the Halifax and they have passed details of this number onto there fraud investigations team.

I have also spoken to my mobile operator and they tried to trace the call but could not find any details on the company.

I reported the number to the police who already have an investigation pending with it.

And for the record I have no credit what so ever and never have as not had the need for it. They just want your details so they can take money out of your account!

Just to add to my post above, I had this number blocked and they are now ringing me on a new number 02071501559.....

this is not a bogus number, this is the HBoS collections dept. They only ring you if you hav missed a payment etc. All credit card companies have some form of security check and they are not trying to take money from your account! They aren't just calling you for the good of their health!!!

I went into the Halifax branch there trying to sell Personal insurance and i complained about being phone all the time and they have taken me off my lists

Have any of you ever heard of Boiler Room Scams?  Check out wikipaedia - they'll tell you what they are.  Basically, its a scam which tries to sell stocks/shares in companies which are worthless.  This particular number belongs to one of these companies - based in Bangkok.  

How do I know this?

A close friend absconded over a year ago, abandoning his wife and kids, and is now workin in one of these places.  He phoned me a couple of days ago from this number, (I missed the call.  I know for certain that he is in Bangkok, but I was puzzled by the UK prefix.  Clearly these boiler room scams want their 'customers' to think they are being called from the UK.  Be warned - they are disreputable, dishonourable and dishonest.  I'd love to hear if anybody else agrees with me on this.....................

Does anybody know of a way to trace these numbers?  Surely in this age of technology it should be relatively simple.  Also, is it possible to obtain an English landline number (with 0044 prefix) whilst being in another part of the world?  I am mystified by this - would greatly value any suggestions.

I have been getting a call from this number for weeks. I just answered and they said they were calling from InHealth Netcare UK. I also just received a letter with this heading and an NHS logo about a scan that I am discussed having with my GP. When I answered the call the woman asked for my details but before that, she said I am calling about the scan requested my your GP, Dr_____, and she knew her name exactly and the details of the scan, so I gave her my details. It's very odd because so many posts here suggest the number is a fraud and I myself have been worried. Has anyone else had them say they are from InHealth Netcare which does exist online at least...?

02031034000 is Aqua Card Services these people call if your credit card has gone over its limit as mine did for to kingly sum of £4 for goodness sake.

I have recieved a number of calls from this number but as soon as ithey begin to talk i hang up.  When you call the number back it just says a representative called you today and they will call you back.  If it is the BOS there message will read a BOS respresentative tried to call you and will try again later.
Don't answer these calls

I kept getting calls from this number and answered.  I was asked to confirm my name and stated I wasn't me.  I have had no calls since.

Dont answer if you owe any money or have late payments on credit cards, its a company working for Halifax.

This is a strange one I noticed my bank didnt honour my credit card (aqua) and so i got a few calls off a 0845 number which i didnt answer as didnt know who it was rang that number back and it was aqua re my missed payment so made payment over the phone. Few days later I get repated calls of this 0203 103 4000 claiming to be aqua and chasing a missed payment when i said it has been paid etc they hung up, yet I keep getting the calls I refuse to answer them now and have written a strong worded email/letter to aqua who have yet to take responsibilty for this number
