Now I'm getting a bit worried. Have had about 4 calls from this number over the last three days, but I'm in America and didn't want to pay to receive a call when I don't know who it's from. But now I know it's about late payments, I'm actually quite concerned, because I have a standing order set up to my card and have never missed a payment on it. DANG. I just wish they'd leave a message!! Why on earth wouldn't they?? Oh yeah.... it's because they call several numbers at once and only speak to the person who picks up first.... so they don't actually care a jot about any of the rest of us.... BAH.

They just keep ringing and ringing and ringing never leave a message on answering machine it can't be that important so I never answer it.

Well I dont owe halifax any money, dont have a credit card.  They said they wanted to see if I was interested in buying personal injury insurance.  Why the fu** would I want that?  Even if I did have a "personal ingury" I would just get on with it like everyone else.  Plus why pay premiums for years and years for something that may never happen!  If I wanted it I would have asked for it!  The sooner these companies realise this the better.  Rather annoyied by it as it is late and I have had a really busy day and cba with people trying to sell me crap!

recd call on mobile with caller id of 0800 138 5441 however they left only part of a message which my mobile voicemail said the call came from 0203 103 4000. however i wil block both numbers on my htc

Just started today. Have had 4 calls "so far" 2 on my home number (which is ex-directory) and 2 on my mobile. So far I have refused to answer. And by the way I have nothing or no connection whatsoever with the Halifax. So what now ?????????

I have been getting these calls to but I don't pick up... Many on this site say it's Halifax or HBOS ..  Mo one in our household are with either back so can't understand why they are calling especially as we are the only people to have lives in this property .

Just had a call from this number.  They are Opus Cards (formerly Citi).

Can anyone tell me why you banks credit card companys etc tell you not to give personal info over the phone & then these same morons ring you constantlyall day everyday wanting you to give the they tell you not to give, is it me :-)

i have just had a call form this number regarding a scan i am due to have, hey had all my details, i never had to give them anything and they asked what date i prefered my scan to be x

This number called me earlier today on my mobile 02031034000 and I just saw the miscall later. When I called back I received the message: "Thank you for calling. One of our representatives tried to call you earlier. We will try another time". No information about who was on the call, who do they represent or anything else. This is so annoying. I guess the best thing to do is to ignore them. I hope they will not become more persistent.

I don't know why these guys are calling me. I do have and account with Halifax but I dont own them any money.

im 16 and these people hassle me none stop? I have a halifax card, no debt or nothing, eventually resulted to answering saying [***] and putting it down, blocked their number now:)

Just had the same thing a call on my mobile which I did not answer, rang the number back on a landline  30 mins later and got a good english voice saying "One of our representatives called you, we will ring you back" probably sales base or one of these you could make a claim for X outfits. Strange though I dont generally  get calls on my mobile not like I do on the home land line...

The  whole  bank of scotland affairs is rife with  insecure information, my advice to all is don't have anything to do with any company connected with RBS,

I have had illicit phone acounts opened with carphone warehouse new phones supplied all issued to ficticious names and post then arrives at my home adress, the common denomonator was RBS  I actually had a track on paperwork on them, on one of these new accounts. Carphone warehouse and Talktalk are all part of the same insecure  network.

So far I have not lost any money, god help them when they try that one but I have chewed some Balls very high up the ladders of these organisations. Acessing these high up wonders is difficult,

I deal with Lloyds and so far they have not failed on security, with my account details or my business . If you deal with RBS or any gropup or company taken over by them keep them under scrutiny and  retract from them. any accounts you have.

This number called me this morning and I hung up when no one spoke. Have added to my reject list.

Further to my recent postings, I tracked this number to a call from North Somerset Council ,Finance. So I took it up with Complaints at NSC, This may help some readers. NSC are now using an outsourcing company called

It seems a few councils are using this " New Whizz" company to manage aspects of theire business such as housing or council tax, they called me quite legitimately, and obviously the caller had all my details, I asked why they were not using a standard BT  area code phone, no one could say, but its being investigated   NOW !!  I will post up the result. Hope this helps.
