I just got a call from this number today 3rd of FEB 2011, i didn't pick up.

Call from Virgin Media to offer me a discount....seemed to have all my details....seemed genuine....said he would send me the details in writing, but haven't received this yet.

asked me if i was william whittaker and then hung up. do you know who they are,are they supposed to know i am

yep..some woman called asking for mr m, my son answered and she hung up when he said he wasnt here. if you try and call it back it says the number is incorrect...dont see how that works unless the message you get is set up there end...bloody annoying

Had a couple of missed calls from this number, answered one last night but nobody on the other end. I have just cancelled Virgin Media so could be them as Joel says??

Update, they've just rang at home again and our lass answered and it was Virgin Media retentions.

I think this is Vergin Media playing silly buggers. It's the retentions department. They're using automated dialing, so sometimes they don't get to the phone on-time when it's answered. Silly buggers!

Biggest mistake you could ever make.. Virgin media wouldn't ask for your details if it were a discount. I'm gonna let them know this

Had several different numbers calling the landline, all at different times and random days. The worse times were waking us up, as it were like 5:30am, or say 7:00am in the morning. If anyone is offering you anything, asking for credit card details put the phone down and report the number to OFCOM Telecoms and the Police. Nobody can shield their number and location from the police if they are scammers, as much as some think they can.... Too many naive people out there still who fall for these telephone scams

Virgin Media have found a new tool too piss  off customers, 02070594000; silly buggers.

We have recently cancelled our subscription with Virgin Media and keep receving annoying calls from this telephone number asking for my husband, who is the Virgin account holder.  When I ring back the number is not recognised.

Got the same annoying call from Virgin only to hear a machine voice saying that virgin will call me back!!!!!!!!??

Did a 1471 and called the number back to be informed that it is not valid 020 70594000!!!!!!

I am leaving Virgin in oct as soon as my contract ends. They've over charged me for four months in a row!! They are idiots, complete morans, their service plans are expensive, their installer showed up in tracksuit and trainers, (AKA Scally).. I'm surprised he didn't come back and rob me later lol

i keep getting annoying phone calls where no one speaks and this has been happening since i cancelled my virgin media subscription thankgod for sky as i am having my no changed! virgin media are a complete rip off beware future subscribers.

Just had a call from this number. I didn't answer. Not had this number before, but we are changing to Sky at the end of this week -  I won't bother redialling to see who it is now!

Call me every night since I cancelled my service, I refuse to speak to them and tell them not to call again as they ask "have you had a date for collection of equipment" I say yes goodbye.

Got a missed call from this number on my home phone today, virgin media retentions would make sense I requested cancellation of my virgin services on monday.

just cancelled virgin last week had 3 calls off them today during the day going to unplug the phone at night thanks everyone  for putting all this up disgusting childish behaviour by them anyone reported this to the press
