Had a call to my mobile from a man with an Indian accent stating that he was with Virgin Media. Wanted to make me aware of offers that were available but first he needed my password. Although he had my name and mobile number (not with Virgin for mobile) he was not able to provide me with any further details so I refused to give him the password to my Virgin account. He said he would get back to me but never did. Informed Virgin of the phone call - had to do it by email as it's almost impossible to speak to someone about it, kept waiting for 25 mins when I tried to. Waiting for a detailed response from Virgin, only received a standard reply so far

Yep just recieved a call very polite forieghn lady requesting offers for my Virgin account but wants my password ?? she was told abogus one but wanted more details , I said call me later 02070594000 was the number that called me

I keep getting calls to my mobile from these people, someone foreign saying can get a discounts for my Virgin Media account, as my dad is the account holder they ask for him but when i say this is not his phone they then move on to try and sell me a mobile...have to keep refusing then they try and sell me mobile broadband...I will email Virgin Media about this, cos it seems to be every few days they call from a couple of different numbers!

Just got a call from this number again claiming to be from Virgin Media offering discounts!!!! Going to complain to Virgin Media and see what they say

Found a missed call on my mobile with this number. Annoying since, when I try to call back, there is a message stating that it is not a genuine phone number.

Dont expect to get better service from Sky lol,
they love you till you have everything signed up...then you are on your own.
Ring them and you cant get through, and in the unlikely event that you do...they can never help you,
except to send someone out that never arrives.
Oh and check your contract with them...having worked for them...I got out when i realised its only a matter
of time before someone with the money to do it sues them out of the market.
trust me...Sky are a joke.

This is NOT Virgin Media...its one of those stupid call centres,
and thats why the number isnt valid!

This will never change or stop till the government stops it or changes the rules,
at the moment they are allowed to ring when and as much as they like.
You cannot even have the numbers blocked!

All these sites for leaving these messages are simply a waste of time,
except that maybe it makes you feel better to rant at your screen hehehe

I doubt this is a scam as the woman who called me knew how much I was spending on phone calls and never asked anything that would help her conduct fraud against me.

She was very insistant and annoying in trying to sell me an upgraded phone package so I firmly believe she was something to do with Virgin!

Got a call from this number offering me a new Virgin Media deal, which they said would be cheaper that what I am presently paying.  I tried calling back but was told I had entered an incorrect numer.  I was suspicious , so contacted virgin media who confirmed that this number is their sales department.

I just had a call from 020705944000...i couldn't answer the phone when i called back i get the pre recorded message that this is an incorrect number please check the number and dial again...can some please advice whats going on ....

Just got a missed call on my mobile. from 02070594000 when I rang it was told number didinot exist. Trawled the web a bit and found a few sites quoting this number as a scam and similar posts to these here.
However it appears to be a scam NOT actually connected to Virgin Media who will not ask for passwords if they call. It is possible that Virgin have sold the names etc of their customers. Virgin do  know my mobile number so may be selling these details as well.

It is Virgin media sales team, if you are a virgin customer already dial 150 for free and give them hell and they should stop. Its been nice and quiet for almost a week now

We had a call from this number stating that we had just upgraded to an internet service with Virgin Media.  They asked for passwords and wanted to give us a discount on our services.  They asked what services we had.  When I stated that they should know what services I had and asked them to verify when I had signed up for additional services, they said they would put me on 'hold' and hung up the phone.

Fraud - obvious leak in Virgin's data privacy to customers.
