- Shaz replies to Thomas NewtonI have just completed an online customer survey with Virgin and within 10 minutes got a call from same number. No reply when I answered but now I know it seems to be a scam will not answer in future. Thanks
- JULIE BARNETTTHIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING ME AND LEAVES NO MESSAGE.
- BobsI had a message from this number saying 'Hi I just called to see how you are'. As I didn't recognise the voice or number and so didn't call them back. I assume it is one of those scams that charge you a lot when you call them back.
- Caller: ??
- peterJust had a call from this number. Caller had very broad African accent. I couldnt decipher half of what was being said but he did ask for my Virgin Media password!
If this actually is Virgin Media - they should be ashamed of the quality of their "customer service". - Lindawoman with a phoney american accent, probably trying to disguise an asian accent. she said she was calling from Virgin to offer us an upgrade on our broadband. she insisted she could only speak to my husband but i am also on the account with a password so I put the phone down. we have had similar calls in the past where they say they are calling on behalf of your internet provider as there is a technical problem with your broadband. we have checked this out with Virgin & they have told us they NEVER call in this way. BEWARE, they nearly got into our computer.
- Caller: Virgin
- CJTI'm on Virgin, so why they'd want to call me I don't know...my ztrategy is to ignore all incoming calls from numbers not in my phone list of contacts.
- Chris SHad a call from this number today at 15:12 on my work mobile. I was in a meeting so did not pick up and they did not leave a message.
When I pressed redial a recorded message said "The number you have dialled is incorrect. Please check and re-dial the number."- Caller: Not known
- KateNot sure I'm convinced guys. I am with Virgin Media and I'm up to date with my payments and not contacted them about leaving. They call my mobile which would be strange as my landline is Virgin Media.
- Caller: Unknown
- AmyYeah, I keep getting missed calls from this number. I am a Virgin Media customer, but im up-to-date with payments, and im not out of contract until the summer, so i have no idea why they're calling. I'll just add the number to my 'do not answer' contact!
- Caller: Unknown
- melI am getting the same thing since saturday, rang saturday twice and I didn't answer (don't answer numbers that I don't know) and then they have tried ringing me today twice so I thought I would look it up on google and just seen all these messages! I then tried ringing them and it says number is incorrect! Next time they ring I will be getting my bf to tell them where to go!
- goldmacwho called me
- Annoyed personI have just called the above number from my home phone pressing 141, from my mobile and also from my Skype account. I have also dialled the above number directly from my Skype telephone and it says that the number you have dialled is incorrect, please press and dial the number again.
I am really annoyed as to how these people have my mobiile number for which I do not give it to anyone whom I do not know. But my advise to everyone is that if anyone rings you in any number you do not know, just let it ring and do not answer it at all. If the call is really important then the caller will leave a message in your voice mail or send you a text message.
These so call scammers should really get done for all the annoyance caused to us. - DaveJust got yet another call from this number.
I have never had any Virgin services before and haven't even lived in the UK since 2007, so not sure why Virgin would suddenly start trying to all me now. In fact, I think this is more likely a scammer posing as Virgin.
I have a dual sim phone so keep my UK Orange sim in so that friends/relatives back there can text me for free and at anytime, but recently I have started getting calls from dodgy telesales and/or scammers at all kinds of hours - I live in a GMT+8 zone... so even when the silly soandsos call at 4pm it's actually midnight my time!!!
All this despite the fact that I opted out from all the Orange directories back when I first got the number back in 2002! Never had any problems until about 6 months ago which leads me to believe that our evil mobile service providers have recently started selling customers' numbers to 3rd parties... I'm not a happy bunny :( - Nobby HReceived a call at 1910 didn't bother answering it I've never had any dealings with Virgin for anything so I suppose these people a scammers using computer generated phone no.s
- Dean DI keep getting a text on my iPhone 5 saying, 'You missed a call from me'. When I check the number, it also comes from 0207 059 4000...?! :(
If i try to call the number back, I get an automated voice saying that the number is incorrect....
Must be a scam.....- Call type: Text message
- SimonGot a call from this number 30 minutes after putting in a brand new unregistered payg sim on Saturday, i didn't answer. Amazing how they could get the number so quickly? It's now Wednesday & i have received about 10 more calls from the same number. Don't know who the caller is but to be able to get my unregistered number so quickly is scary.
- G02070594000 - virgin media from abroad. wanted to upgrade Sky movies package.
- Caller: VirginMedia
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Martyn WThis is PROBABLY a scam artist. They are spoofing the Caller ID, which is legit if there is actually a phone at the end of the displayed number. Google caller ID spoofing for more info.
