Got a call from this number at 2.00am,didn't answer it,they're not getting me out of my bed at that time.

Your ditching VM because of a virus and getting hacked twice, thats not virgin media's fault, it's Microsofts! Although to be fair we had someone call us from this number, told us in an american twang "hi there, this is virgin media, we've got a great deal for you!" then said "can I have the first two letters of your password" should have known better than to ask for something like that, the phone went straight back on the receiver with "DONT EVER CALL ME AGAIN!" lol

You would think if they where going to offer you something they would have the common curtsy to put it in writing, the whole thing just rings alarm bells of SCAM. Call up and ask for the first two letters of my password indeed, I should have been quicker off the mark and said "Which password is that? The one for my router, the one for my wireless hub, the one to my PKI certificate store or the one to my low level sandbox or the one for my disk encryption?"

had phone call from 02070594000 rang 5/6 times. i picked up phone went dead.i am with virgin media at the moment but have signed up to another network its cheaper but havent told virgin media yet. weird phone call thou.

We rang Virgin today on 150 and the customer services guy confirmed that these two numbers ARE NOT Virgin.

If you get calls from these numbers do not give them any details

Keeps calling no message, when you call back advises this number not in service. Very annoying especially as i am registered with the TPS.

Just registering does not stop sales calls. You have to report each unsolicited sales call you receive.  If you have a previous relationship with the calling company you have to advise them, preferably be e-mail, not to call you again, and then report them if they do.  TPS does not cover calls from overseas if the parent company is not UK based and does not cover Market Research calls.

I say missed, as the works phone didn't tag it with a known name, I ignored it :-)

I dont have any virgin media stuff at all, so why theyre calling me goodnes knows, if it's VM that is..

They called while we were out, left no message but 1471 revealed the number. Thanks to everyone for all the advice and information above. Really very helpful.

I received a call from this number tonight. I am a Virgin Media customer, but I never answer numbers I don't recognize.  Their call centre is abroad, which can be very frustrating on the occasions you do need to contact them, as there's the obvious language barrier when you're trying to get a point across! I do not wish to be contacted (and disturbed!) by telephone by anyone trying to sell me something, etc. As a customer, I would rather be e mailed or, better still, sent details of offers they may have, to read myself in my own time & not be forced into making any snap decisions over the telephone!

Had this number three times today, I I rang it back and I was told there was no such number so I have igored it ever since

This number called whilst we were out - no message left on answerphone. Called it back - recorded message said number was incorrect.

We get 2 or 3 calls a day from auto dialers and telemarketers 99% of which are scammers.  02070594000 was the last one today 14/12/2011 @13:45 but normally there is no number and the police won't do anything as we dont have a phone number to give them to trace. And as the calls are so random we would have to have an officer here to answer all phone calls!

I use caller display and if any number comes up that I don't know then I don't answer it.

If it is important then they will leave a message and call back later.

Never give out any passwords or details over the phone, they should know your details if they are legit!! always ask them if they can confirm your details like D.O.B. and address (after all they phoned you up), if they are not willing to confirm then hang up.

Recieved call from this number today the 15/12 2011 at 15.16 hours tried to return call, call was not recognizesed

Just had a call from them saying they could get me cheaper calls on my phone with VM, said I already had the best deal so they then asked for letters from my pin / password .. Left the phone connected and next to the TV and walked away .. Well, if they are going to waste my time ..

BTW .. This is not a Virgin Media number, it is spoofed somehow .. See back a few pages.

got 5 calls from nice sounding lady unfortunately her command off the English language was somewhat lacking,she insisted that she was from virgin & i had made loads of 0845-0870 calls, she asked me what my password was 3 timesI said ain`t got a clue then she said how old are u, I then asked how many 0845 etc No`s have I made she did`nt have a clue so I asked her if she would like to tell me what the weather was like on the Indian subcontinent lol, she tried to get my details again when I told her that the number she phoned from was not listed & that my tracker programe was tracking her she put the phone down, I would hazard a guess that Virgin reads these(if it is legit)if they do maybe they should take the hint & employ people based in the UK, I would say England but that`s politiclay incorrect LOL  
and by the way I phoned the BT operator to ask to chk the No & they said it is not listed

Had 4 calls from this number in the last 3 days on my Mobile. I dont have any broadband or sky or land line phone.  Why are they calling me,  Sorry but wont answer......

this  number and 08004089340 are ringing me non stop ... really thinking of leaving VM as these calls have only started wen i joined them !!!!!

getting called by 02070594000, nobody speaking on the other end!!!! what a bunch of c*cks!!!
