- Pascal dee replies to luluI totally agree with this!! they made me ill.. and it is simply brainwashing people its awful they can think they can get away with scamming people!
- Peter| 3 repliesIt's not fake or scam they do sales and yes it's commission if you can't do sales then don't do it rather then slag it off.
- Jack| 2 repliesI was offered an interview next week for a position with a company with no name?
I called them from an advertisement on Gumtree.
The email to confirm from "Lydia" says on the bottom its from YFR LTD.
Thank god I came across this thread because I will not be going.
thanks to everyone who has posted on here.
It sounded dodgy from the start - which is why I decided to actually look it up. - himselfHappened to me too...Lydia called just been checking if I even applied and found this. Kinda want to go to angel just to kick her head in for exploiting and getting people there under false pretenses...I'm really glad about seeing this because I was wondering y a consultancy/sales position is contacting me.
I was actually happy I finally got an interview on monday...now nothing again- Caller: yfr ltd
- Little'un| 1 replyI received an email this morning with the exact same thing about how they've considered my application and I've got an interview tomorrow. It didn't sound very professional (as they blatantly didn't proof read or use spell check) but just like you, I'm a student racking up a mega debt so thought I'd check this out anyway. So I emailed back saying what times I'm available for this interview tomorrow and that's all booked up. I've always been told to research a company you have an interview for and low and behold, I've gone and found LOADS of comments all similar to these, not necessarily about SSC Marketing but about various marketing brands who all use the same number as SSC and the same building (Shand Street)... Funny that, huh? As my mate lives at London Bridge (10mins away from Shand Street), I thought I'd check this place out so I know where I'm going for this shoddy interview... Didn't look too appealing but I thought oh well, some people struggle to get offices. 20mins later and my phone starts buzzing saying I have an email... Who from? AC Generations. Which address? 14-20 Shand House, Shand Street. After reading al the threads about this labour scam I thought "right, I'm gonna make an appointment for an interview with these guys anyway and see what they do"... I'm interested as to how they're gonna handle me being there for a while considering both interviews are in the same building and possibly the same people... THEY better be prepared for a grilling cos I'm definitely not gonna be taken for a mug!

- 31st of July replies to Little'unI went to the interview today 31st of July at 1 o'clock. i met Lydia and the MD Ben, all seem very nice until i got home and found this website. Was anyone else there today that has been called back tomorrow becuase i have and at the moment all i want to do is call the police/watchdog or whatever to see the company go down. What can be done to stop people like this? Do i go tomorrow record the interview myself and see whether i can prove they are doing something wrong so i can call the police!
Also i never applied ! - 1st AugustBest thing to do is simply "STAY AWAY"
- rosey replies to Peteryou dont know what you are talking about. my son was brainwashed by blue moon direct. he worked for nothing for 3 days, he is 19. commission only is just a scam to get young vulnerable people to work for nothing.. if you think thats ok than you need to get a life. you must be sad or work for them yourself. i reported them and all these scams to watchdog and hopefully they will do something about it..

- sammie wills replies to John| 1 replyi dont see why everyone complains and says that these companies are a scam. they are commition based as you are working unsupervised. would you pay someone a basic wage just for them to do no work atall ??? i know i wouldnt. i work for approach direct as a property surveyor. i was promoted to a trainee manager in 3 weeks as i worked hard and hit the criteria. i have my push week coming up soon which means i will be a manager in about 3 weeks time. so how is it a scam??? im 20 years old, been with this company 11 weaks and am only a few weeks away from opening my own office. you know why? i was not scared of commision or hard work. before you slag a company off you must give it a go

Remember where you saw that link . Never know when you might need it . - Anderson replies to Not happyThank you for the heads up. I knew something was not right when i couldn't find a website.
- Eesh replies to mattHello, I just got an e-mail from the same company today and they would like me to come to London tomorrow.
I was wondering if you could follow up on what happened next regarding your application?
I'm worried that the company might be trying to sell a course, but need to know whether they are genuine or not.
I would be so grateful if you replied ASAP! - Jack replies to PeterPeter, if a company calls you up out of the blue, tells you the job is a customer service role, give you an interview without asking you nothing and saying you have got the job, not being told that it is 100% commissioned based at the very start like any other company would, it's hardly an honest endeaver is it...
People are complaining about the misleading nature of all the companies many, who are in the same building or run by the same people just under different names. If they were straight forward like any other company would be this forum would not be filled with people who have been misled. No one is saying anything against commission based roles just be honest and say that is what you are. Instead of getting people to pay to come into 'interviews' set them on 'training' days where they work with no breaks, then end up not getting paid or not getting paid what they told they were going to get paid.
Any interviewee would expect at the very least to be told the working hours, where they will be working, what type of work they will be doing and how EXACTLY how they get paid. It's not hard just be straight forward and honest then no one will complain. - Jack replies to PeterPeter, if a company calls you up out of the blue, tells you the job is a customer service role, give you an interview without asking you nothing and saying you have got the job, not being told that it is 100% commissioned based at the very start like any other company would, it's hardly an honest endeaver is it...
