Had two calls yesterday and today from 02076197597. I think it could be UNICEF. I told them a couple of months ago not to pester me and they are starting again. Worst thing I ever did was to give money via text. I always give to charities but dont like to be pestered all the time. DONT DO IT.

I was called on behalf of Unicef on this number...

This number have been calling on a daily basis. Nobody there when I pick up the phone. I have registered the number on TPS as silent calls. I am now writing down the times they call. 3 times today and it is only just after 4pm... If enough people register the number, hopefully it will be investigated and stopped.

As an update, I have just had them call again but there was someone there this time. It was a call on behalf of the Children's society and the caller was getting paid to make the call. He checked I was still eligible to gift aid as a tax payer and confirmed my address. That was it, don't know if there will be more to follow...

Had this call a few times - just answered it - following up a text donation I had given in the past. It's so hard to just say 'no' to these people. I ended up getting sent a text to activate a £3 gift to unicef per month - it's not much, but I'd like to be in control of when I give to a charity instead of being forced into a situation through politeness.

They call & call!  I usually miss the call but they never leave a message.  Who are these pests?

Mine is from Unicef, made a text donation a while ago and now they are calling almost every day I picked up the first time as caught unawares but this sort of thing really puts you off donating to charities.

I have recieved calls from this number 02076197597 for about 2 months now at diffrent times of the Day I rang them today on 02076197888 Left My Name and Number And their Ref GEN Your Name And Number Is Then Removed From DatabaseWithin Thee Working Days.Hope This Is Of Help

I have received calls like this before.  This was several years ago - they came after I naively signed up to donate for UNHCR.  Same as you guys, trying to emotionally blackmail me into upping my donation amount.  Shortly after this happened, my sister, who is a vulnerable adult and also on a low income, was coerced by chuggers into donating £35 a month.  It is very ironic that these chuggers commonly work "on behalf of" (not "for", of course) charities that are supposed to support people with disabilities or mental illnesses, and yet these often seem to be the very people that chuggers see as "easy targets" and latch on to to squeeze money out of.  

Needless to say, I have cancelled that direct debit and won't be donating via chugger ever again.  I have since learned that if you want to really help a charity (and many of them do very worthwhile work), the best thing you can do is volunteer.  That way you know exactly where your contribution (in kind, not in coin) is going. And I would also advise choosing small, independent charities to support, as they are less likely to use chuggers.

But why is there no one at the other end when I answer immediately - doesnt sound like clever fundraising to me!

Had a call from them (unicef) about giving money. I do something nice once and get harassed for more! They have phoned me loads even after saying no.

calls every day to my mobile and home phone, when I answer no-one there

I've been getting 5 or 6 calls a day from this number for weeks now. It's the Scope charity, trying to get me to sign up for a direct debit. I've told them I'm not interested, but they keep phoning.

Hello..just like many others,I keep receiving phone calls from Listen(02076197590),on behalf of either Cancer UK or Cancer Research,and when returning the call to the number they give you(0207619788),I leave my name,number,and the ref I was given to have it removed from their database after 3 working days,but if I leave this as requested,then why am I still receiving these calls 3 + months after leaving the first message!?.
Surely they have a way to check these left messages and have them removed at the callers request!.
I'd like to decide myself to which charities I'd like to help.
