I too got a call from this number today Luckily, I was out at the time! They didn't leave a message on my answer phone - it's "no wonder"....!  I'm registered (free) with BT Caller ID.  If a number calls, one which I don't recognise, and I'm at home, I leave my "loudspeaker" on - on my answerphone. If the call is important, the person will speak and I will try to pick up ASAP otherwise, equally, if the call is important, the caller will leave a message.  

I am (perversely!) amused by the number of calls made my the same telephone numbers whom experience my telephone answer machine message time and time again - don't "they get the message" or, most probably it's a "robot"! Still, again "perversely", I'm really amused at the amount of time and money they waste by calling me, "that's teach 'em" - but "it" doesn't does it....?

Please keep the "good work up guyz and gals" - this is a REALLY GREAT website, we don't have to pay for it, and we gain so much information.  So "Fair Play" and "Many Thanks" to the hosts of this website, it's such a pity that the "policers" (OFCOM, or whatever they call themselves these days...) don't have a similar system.  I guess we have to help ourselves and each other "at the end of the day"

Got an unsolicited call from this "market research" outfit yesterday evevning when I was waiting for an important incoming call.   These people should be banned.

Received unwanted call this morning from GFK NOP, did not answer as was busy at the time.

I have sent an E. Mail to them asking to have my number added to their "DO Not Call List" so now await to see if the E. Mail works.

Please stop calling me - I am totally fed up with this

Recieved a call from this number at 2100hrs New Zealand time. They must be getting pretty desperate to be calling NZ at this time in the evening.

Have had many calls from this number. Wait for answer machine to kick in then they hang up

this [***] keeps ringing asking for son..surely they should get it into their head my son is very young so how they can ask for him by name they should be banned ..pain in the back side

Am with Orange through a b t line, got a call from these, but was out at the time, so it came up as a missed call. I am ex directory but that does stop other from ringing. If you want something you get in touch why should my phone ring for things which are usually an annoyance. There again I not sure whether the phone companies are part of the same pirate ship

Everyone should bombard this GFK Quality Manager with this same complaint to hopefully get themselves removed from there call lists.

Can I suggest that if people believe that this organisation is behaving in an unnaceptable manner that complaints to the mrs may be in order.

same company different last digit number. I asked which company they we're and would not tell me which company they were calling from. When i passed it to my mother (who is chinese and speaks very little english) they said that they were from barclays.

You do not have to type in Capitals to get your point across!
As far as I'm concerned - I am quite happy to answer questions - on the telephone, in the street or wherever, but only unless I am paid for doing so.
My time is valuable just like anyone else - and so therefore I expect to be paid for my time in answering questions.
If I am not - then I'm afraid I ring off.
So there you have it. And Genuine Market Research or not - I do not particularly like my number being given out willy nilly as it is supposedly X-Directory.
For my two pennorth - go and get a proper job and stop annoying people at peak times of the day!

Rang at 2.15 p;m. on Sunday and again at 8.15 p.m. tonight asking to complete an online survey.  We are TPS registered and enquired where they had obtained or number from.  Never give out our home phone number.

One of the best things I have ever bought was a set of Panasonic KX-TG6523 telephones from good old Argos, and they have  a very effective and simple to use 'call barring option'.
After my daughter receiving an unsolicited call from these low life this morning, she duly passed the phone to me, and once I established the type of call,  my temper flared.
I asked why the cretin was making random calls to a children and that paedophilia isn't allowed in this country and the caller was visibly shaken, particularly after I explained that no matter how he put things, it was he who had called a child and made her feel very uncomfortable, no matter what excuses he made up for the calls he makes. Anyway, the upshot after much apologising, to coin a phrase, he was extremely "shaken, not stirred". I thought he was going to break down in tears once I threatened to inform the police and have him hunted down and branded for the life.
I would suggest, wherever possible, make these lowlife as uncomfortable as possible and do not be intimidated by them.

this number called us today and we have no knowledge of who they are and are x directory.

Got a call at 5.45pm today.  Said they were doing market resaearch regarding broad band.  I said they should not be calling as I am registered with TPS.  They hung up.

I got a telephone call from this number at 3.15am on Monday 6th December '10. They left a loud series of beeps on my answering machine that awoke my entire household and then hung up. I am looking to report them.
