i phoned O2 they said this number its not from them  DO NOT ANSWER TO THIS PEOPLE  .
if they phone you , tell them u r a police officer :) and u can see on ur system this call is not from O2 :P they never will phone u again :)

This number called me on my O2 mobile today, asked for me by my first name only. Then the guy proceeded to say that he was from O2 and wanted to talk about my land line. I just hung up. I've read about these scams before. I doubt the caller is really from O2.

Just had a call from 02202, when I answered 'they' hung up, googled it and found this site, relieved to know its not only me.  Have reported it to O2 who confirmed it was not them.  Will not answer any future calls from this number

This person is someone who is trying to get your bank details. i cant seem to block the number or anything........ we all need to get together and help catch this perverted thief.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had several calls from this number, Every time picked up and nothing said, checked the bill and nothing was taken out, Started to get cheesed off with this as i have said not interested and 5 mins later they ring,

this number has rang me everyday for 3 days and havent answered any of them
first time they rang i got a voicemail listened to it and they didnt say anything
i will be reporting this number if it doesnt keep phoning me

I have been getting calls from this number ever since i changed my o2 tariff. Funny enough the number that you call to do that is 2202 so that put with the fact we are all o2 members surely it is coming from o2? I have emailed the just waiting for a reply now which will hopefully tell me what is going on!!

this number has called my daughter 2day she never answered it..i wuld like 2 know who this is!!! i was gonna call it back but aft wat ive read on the net abt it bein a scam!!

I am 12 and i have been getting a call from this number every few weeks for about two months now. it's starting to freak me out how they got my number and i want them to stop calling me!

same, rang me at school 1ce and about 4 times now altogether. Im am also with 02. They sound like someone from another country that has just learnt to speak the language. by the way i have only picked up once

It's 02.  They called me several times and then there was noone there when I answered.  Then today they called me and asked me if I wanted to take a deal to renew my recently expired broadband contract.

I also mentioned to the guy that I'd been called a few times and he apologised so quickly I wouldn't be at all surprised to find it's a known fault at the O2 call centre.

My daughter keeps getting calls from 02202 she is a pay and go, and when I answered it just heard breathing so I called 02 from my contract phone and was advised that it is an outbound 02 marketing department, probably wanting to sell contract phones.
Advised re silence on the other end and said that it is automated dialler calling out, so operative not always there or not ready to take call so hang up.

Was advised that if it call again and get to speak to someone to state is pay and go for my daughter and as a minor will not be able to get contract and for the number to be removed from the system.

SO 02202 IS AN 02 OUTBOUND MARKETING DEPARTMENT TRYING TO SELL CONTRACTS TO PAY AND GO CUSTOMERS

I was called about 10 minutes ago by this number, they offered me a service where if my phone/sim is lost or damaged I can get my credit sent to a new sim card, and then changed my tarriff to simplicity  - I rang customer services after to check this had happened and it had, so it's clearly an 02 number.
