i work for o2 and have also been bombarded with these calls with no one answer, i know LBM do exist but you really need to pull ya fingers out and start answering your calls!!!! its annoying for me who actually works for the company!!!!

o2 neva ask for bank details as most people have a direct debit set up.... we only ask to confirm they are the o2 account holder and password for Data Protection...... i work for outbound team who welcome new customers to the network

The number 02202 is o2 outbound usually trying to upgrade your payg tariff and give you a better deal(free minutes and texts) or to see of they can give you a better package on your home broadband. Can understand why people get a bit PARANOID with the calls hanging up but that may because there's a bad line and the advisor can't hear you. As for those people claiming that the advisors are asking for 'bank details' you are talking complete [***] as all they ask you to do is confirm 3 data protection questions, same as customer service would.

If you ring customer service and they advise you that the number is not connected to o2 it is because they are either most likely new and haven't come across it before or they simply cannot be bothered asking their managers.

I know this because I work for o2!

I can see how this website can be useful in helping prevent scams but it also creates confusion and paranoia and allows 'scam' rumours to circulate about perfetly legit numbers!

Got a missed call with no voicemail from 02202.I head it is o2 but my friend is a manager in o2 & says they don't make these hangup or silence calls.But that's his say? I've read other comments on This number & surprised o2 would go to these lengths!!
if you read these "unknown caller" postings,Get a grip o2.
Like other folk I am signed go receive concert tickets etc,but wht they don't leave a courtesy voicemail eludes me!!! I won't be answering to this number since Reading so many postings about it!!!

I wouldn't worry about them accessing the number, it is most likely a random number generator they are using. Many companies "legitt" use them in call centre based businesses. Many people are campaigning to have these machines banned.

Had a missed call yesterday, and answered a call today (3rd June 2010).  It is someone from 02 enquiring about internet usage and provider.
I mentioned that I am happy with who i am already with and they seemed happy with my response, wished me a good day and hung up.

i have been getting calls from this number for the past 3 weeks and i havent been answering the phone just hanging up in case it is some sort of scam but i noticed the other day every time i hang up my credit seems to go down by 2-3 pounds and it is starting to get on my nerves so i would really like to find out who it is and why they keep ringing me

The company is called LBM they work for o2 to provide direct customer contact marketing services - ie signing up existing o2 customers to more/different services (this of course may be good or bad!)

Just got a call from this number, aswered and they didn't say a thing. Left it about 10 seconds and they hung up.

Hi, I have been receiving calls from this number the last few days...and if it's O2 or any company affliated with O2 I'm annoyed because like so many of us I have opted out of the marketing calls.  Although what I find more astonishing is the comments made by those on these pages who claim to work for o2 calling us various names under the sun........ if that's your attitude not matter how good your offers are as far as I'm concerned why should I help pay the salary of someone who said this for instance?

[***] answered the phone, said he was from the O2 Network and tried selling me an iPhone 3GS 16GB for £40 per month and the phone for £179.

Told him not to phone again.

I was called by 02202 asking for 'Dave'. I said that wasn't my name so they hung up.

Got one today and yesterday but haven't picked up incase it charged me....

I got a call from this number. They didn't speak. They're annoying and I'm gonna cry if they call again, Oh and I'm on O2.

Its people like you... Is why the country is [***]. Get a life. Btw what ever race you are with that attitude, i hope you get what you deserve punk!

I received this call for about ten times, at different times.
When I reply there is no reply,if I just answer without saying a word, the line keeps open for as long as 1 minute and 50 seconds.
My final balance also appears after this call no matter if I answer or not. I am an O2 subscriber, if this may help.

If it is fromo2 why do they never talk to me? I answer the phone and theres noone there, and i got a voicemail from them earlier while I was in school, and noone said anything
