02202

i've been getting calls from this number but after reading all of this i'm even more confused!! half of them are saying it's a scam, and the other half have said it's an O2 number. *sigh*

I was really stupid today, i had just woken up and 02202 rang me and the guy was very nice and asked me questions like am i happy with 02, so i use my 02 surprises and why did i choose 02 stuff like that and he said that my sim card wasnt registered so if it got lost or broken i could loose my number and credit. I had heard about this so i said yes to an upgrade and he asked for my surname (he knew my first name) to confirlm the first line of my address and then my date of birth which i did and now looking back i was a complete IDIOT!!!! he said i would recieve a text in the next 48 hours and if i was interested in upgrading to a better bolt on but i told him i couldnt afford it because i dont have a job and still in college! He then said well i dont think you will be interested in our 02 internet packages which i said no and then that was it!
Afterwards i felt worried and when i went online and saw that it might be a scam i panicked!!!! I went to my local 02 shop and they said that it wasnt them and to watch out that my credit doesnt decrease because thank god im on pay as you go!!!
All i have to worry about now is getting things bought in my name and my life falling apart IM SO SCARED if anyone has any ideas on what i should do now then please help me!
I want to change my sim card and number so if someone could tell me how to do this would be great and now i will never answer unknown calls like that again!
I would really appreciate that no one comments back to me in a mean way and call me stupid because i already feel stupid and if that guy who was on the phone is reading this I HATE YOU for making me feel this bad!

People seem to be forgetting that either last year or the start of this year most mobile numbers went on a huge database where a lot of numbers became visible to the public unless you opted out.

Have received calls over past week or so. Only today did the number say 02202, the rest have said 'Unknown'. Would it definitley say the number 02202 if it was them, just wondered it all other calls are something else.

Ok i just got a call today but i was out and my son answered - no one said anything - when I checked the number online as I do when i get calls on my landline as well i have read all your reviews!! thanks for letting me know its a scam/ waste of time etc..,,

i got a call from this number as well but cut the call off as i didn't recognise the number

you felt something was dodgy but still gave your details. I wouldn't i also got a call similar to this from some debt line but i wouldn't give out my details to any company  who calls out of the blue and wants my details tell them you will go to bbcs watchdog and the national press if they don't stop rining you if they are genuine they won't want that sort of publicity

Called me every lunch over last 3 days ... Dont Like It !

I have too started to get calls off this number, but it just is silent.  I dont answer them, and have now sent the number to reject list after the last, but I dont know if this will work.  Im going to report it to o2 now.

I am getting these too though and I am already on contract.

Just to clarify, its a company called LBM, they outsource for O2. They deal with contract, pay as you go bolt ons/upgrades and Broadband for O2. I've spoke to them a few times and got some decent bolt ons etc for a discount rate.

Completley legit, the silent calls are due to the automated dialler they use

If it is a company why are they ringing so late? Iv had a few of these now and most have them have been a weekend at 9 10 o'clock

02202 is a team from O2 that are calling people to actively check their tariffs and upgrade them to a newer tariff if they wish. If you do not wish to be contacted by this team please ask them not to call you again.

02202 claims to be from o2, very slow to answer the replys you give them  them he started  going on   telling me   he was there  to help  me find the best  package for my Pay n Go simcard. and that my sim  was not registered.. yer yer blah blah
