Report a phone call from 02890324055 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- ex-EMCASHi there, I used to work for Experiences Connect - the introducer for EMCAS (Exp. Conn. are the ones who are actually ringing you up). I'm not here to tell you how wonderful they are - just merely offer advice on the constant calls.
First of all, as frustrating as it is, please try not to be rude to the agent! They are merely trying to earn a wage, and if they're not persistent (to the point of nuisance) then they quickly find themselves without a job; and we all know how valued ANY full-time job is to a mortgage-payer and mother/father etc.
The fault of the wrong information / constant calls does not lie with the agent, it in most cases does not lie with the company. It's the data collection company who are passing round your info.
The best thing to do is ask the agent what company passed on your details. They may give you a spiel about "filling in a survey..", but ask again for the data company's name and number.
9/10 I have checked, it's usually a company called 'Teleprospects'. This is their head office number: 01902 710 101. The best thing to do is request EMCAS delete your data as you are TPS registered (even if you're not), call the data company and request they also delete your info.
If you're not getting chance to speak to an EMCAS (Experiences Connect) agent - dead lines, etc. - but get the calls a lot, then ring them. The Belfast office number is 02890 238518 and the Ipswich office number is 01473 241111.
Hope this helps. And please remember, being polite (and I know it's hard!) will give you the results you want. If you're rude / hang up / don't answer the phone / refuse the questions, you'll go back in the system and be called again! - ..... replies to GERRYSad indivdual
- ex-EMCAS 2Hello, I too used to work for the company. The worst things you can do if you don't want the calls are ignoring them, hanging up, or just answering and saying "[***] off". Any of those will just put you right back into the dialler. As the previous poster said, the people there often hate the job and hate having to bother people with this stuff so don't assume it's that one individual's fault you're on the list. I agree with what ex-EMCAS said in his/her post - tell the advisor that you're on the TPS. Even if you're not. It means they have to remove you from the system. Just please be polite about it! Like I said, the advisor can't help who they call - it goes through automatically - and they most likely don't want to be pissing people off anyway. I know the calls can be very annoying if you're not expecting them, but posting comments on a website won't get you anywhere. If you just use the TPS line you should be fine.
Good luck everyone, and again, don't hate the agent - they can't help it!- Caller: EMCAS

- SylvydI answered a call from Emcas last year.Thought it was a waste of time but I filled out the paperwork they sent me (it took me 6 months to look at it). Got a letter from Halifax saying they were offering me £300 for compensation over a bond I had, which earned no interest in the 5 years I had it. Was really getting annoyed at the calls fron emcas but they letting me know my case was referred to Financial Ombudsman.
Yesterday I opened a letter from the Ombudsman & was astonished to have a cheque enclosed for £5411!!! I never expected that!
Now my problem is the 40% Emcas will want for sorting out the issue with Halifax! I wont be able to answer my phone now as they'll be wanting £2100 of my money that I wasn't expecting to get from Halifax!!! Any ideas folks???? - sylvyd replies to leeWhat way do they take their cut from you?
- MelGot a call from this number around 8pm last night. I didn't get to my phone in time but am glad I didn't now. I am registered with the phone preference service so I shouldn't be receiving any cold calls. I shall be reporting them if they call again.
- johnhemelcalled again today after I told them I was not interested in Endowment compo yesterday. Lost my rag with them, parasites !

- MartyThese people ring at the same time every day. We are usually out so the answerphone switches on but no one's there.Today we answered the call but they asked for someone else and said it was a wrong number. When we ring back we get a message saying it is an insurance company but we didn't catch the name of it.
- valI am fed up of getting these calls from the above number they dont ever say anything but it is so frustrating to have to keep answering the phone how can I stop them ???????????/
- Employee of 02890324055| 1 replySylvyd, only days after starting to work for this company I was pressurised into trying to claim on my own credit cards so I did, not realising when you read the small print there is a cancellation fee and a huge fee for any inaction by the customer i.e not responding to their calls and letters because of the work they carried out on your behalf. EMCAS will try and take your money at any given chance. You may just have to pay the fee. This is a cold calling sales company and we are discouraged to be "Customer care" focused simply because and I quote a manager "I don't give a f**k, just get their reference numbers".
- BevHi Folks,
I along with the majority of ppl here I have recieved a lot of phone calls from this number for about three months now. I tried to fob them off and asked them to send paperwork through the post, which they have done, but calls seem to be endless. The more calls I get the less confident I feel about using their services, and their costs are higher than most. I have told them that the paperwork is in the post to get them off the phone, but now wonder if this was such a good idea.- Caller: EMCAS
- Bev replies to Employee of 02890324055As an employee I would be very uneasy working for a company like this. Try and find another job elsewhere. I have greater resspect for the Tax Man that this company.
- BevAfter reading Ex-employee's post, I telephone the Ipswich number and have spoken to a very nice guy. Hopefully I won't get anymore phone calls. Fingers Crossed !!!!!!!
- GuyThey've been pestering my mum so I've reported them to the TPS. I happen to live about 15 miles from the Northern Irish Border in Donegal so anymore calls and I'll drive over to Derry and report them to the PSNI (Police). I have just emailed them the same info.

- PaddyJust tell them you've already claimed your own PPI back in full and kept all the money for myself. Do not use these companies it's a really simple process just speak to your bank direct for the claim form fill it in send it of. The banks don't argue they just pay out its simple. If you do it yourself then you'll get 100% of your money instead of 40 or 50% percent. All it takes is one direct phone call and an hour max filling in the form. Which sane person would seriously let a Claim company do it for them and take a massive chunk of your money when it's o simple to do yourself
- Frankie selwynHow about all you [removed:lang] stop moaning. I receive texts and calls on mobile on numerous occasions saying I'm owed x amount. I started working for Emcas in September and am proud of the job I do! We do not cold call! Accept the fact you answered questions on a telephone survey saying you had had a credit card or loan and agreed to be called. Therefore tps doesn't count. I've helped clients from single mums to 91 year old women mis sold by Lloyds tsb. We are a very good company. The MOJ even came to our call center to try and use our company to set the benchmark. Instead of thinking your the boss by letting rip on the phone. Think of who's calling you. Last week I turned around a very rudest convinced him to listen to me, 25mins later we find £20,000 of mis sold PPI. Y
