I get daily calls as well mainly when I am at work.  Goes to answerphone then just dead.  Did 1471 to get number.  It is this number every time it happens.  Answered the call when at home no one there did 1471 again same number very annoying.  Why do they call it's ridiculous.

they are a company that tell you you can get payment protection back, i have told them time and time again i have got mine back but they dont care. i used belmont thornton to get payment protection back and they got me loads of money back.

Had a few calls from this number where they hang up whenever we answer.

Just went onto EMCAS's website I sent them the following email:

After answering there is silence and then the line goes dead. After phoning this number, I heard a recorded message identifying it as an EMCAS number.

After searching for your company name and number online, I understand that you deal with claims for endowment and payment protection mis-selling.

I am emailing to request that you stop calling our phone number (XXXXXXXXXXX) with immediate effect.

We have never had a mortgage or any payment protection, therefore you're wasting your time calling.

Please note, I will be keeping a copy of this email for future reference. If we continue to receive calls from the above number (or any number associated with EMCAS) I will be reporting the matter to the police."

Don't know if this will work, but it's worth a try... feel free to send them the same email if you like ;-)

i had a call from this number just minutes ago, i informed her that the payment protection i had was NOT miss sold as i had asked for it!!  I went on to inform her that i had infact have no credit cards with outstanding payments, they are all cleared!!  I told her this the the second call i had from this company and i told the man last time not to call again, she was VERY VERY rude and said they had not called before and it was me who had filled out a survey asking them to call them, i said i can assure you that i DID NOT fill out a survey, she then hung up! How god damn rude, where do these people get your number from??

I had a call about 12.20 today, which I actually answered, and there was a man who asked for Mr -- (my husband) I asked who calling, he said was there a Mr - there. I said I might answer queastion if he told me who calling. He said EMC financial services, I asked what to do with, said had to speak to Mr- and was he there. I said not available to answer at present, and what was it actually about. He said to do with a Ministry of Justice matter, which alarmed me, but I continued to ask him to be more specific. He then said he must speak with B- my husband's first name - and when would he be in - I said I was not telling him.  He said he would ring later.

I just had at 6.20 pm, another call which I picked up the phone but no-one there.  Obviously they realised it was me again so not interested.

Rang this number back and they said they were a clams service and asked if i wanted to put a claim in for ppi against my credit cards/loan insurance, and did I want to talk to some on (NO)

i have the same problem but i dont answer and its just a blank message on my answerphone.
i got around 15 calls between 3:30 pm and 8 pm.

I've received yet another silent call from this company. They have even left a blank message on my answerphone. So much for them agreeing not to contact me again! I'm so looking forward to speaking to someone from this company

If its EMC then yes they are legit. We went with them over a loan and we got money back.

the only way you find out if you've been mis-sold is by having to claim on it. it isnt mis-sold just all the time because people didn't ask for it, it's because it didn't cover them. If it doesn't cost anything to find out, I would say go for it. the banks have taken enough money off people

that sounds like a mature approach. ever tried talking to them to find out why they're calling? if it doesn't apply to you then they would have no reason to call, if you don't let them pitch, then they will keep calling. dumbass

Keep getting daily calls from phone no. 02890324055 from a company saying that they can get you money back from personal protection insurance for a past loan/credit card upto the past 10 years!  I've told them politely and angrily that 'I'm not interested and don't have a card/loan' but they just keep talking over the top of you.  I have reported them to the telephone preference service.  I'm now getting really annoyed with them.

Very VERY pushy person who wouldn't take no for an answer, in the end I simply hung up. I've got better things to do with my time. Just checked the answering machine and had FOUR calls from them today while I was out.

been getting calls from this number and a couple very similar numbers when i answer phone the line goes dead. as we are x directory this is very distressing,they have left an unrecognisable very short message on answer phone when not in but who or what is spoken is anybodies guess. would like my phone free from these calls

I've been getting silent calls from this number everyday for the last week and they hang up without saying anything...bordering harrassment think it time to report it to OFCOM

I had very heated conversation with a man from this company last night 22nd november. It had been my dads funeral and it was 8pm just what I needed.He would not take no for an answer. I have done same and insisted they remove my details .WE WILL SEE.

We get a call every evening this is becoming a nusiance, they dont say anything just hang up.  This especially upsetting for my children if they should get to the phone before me.    Please how do we stop them.

they called my partner at home this evening wouldnt tell me anything when i said not to call the man on the phone was quite rude and said my partner has given him this number to call him on (he doesnt even know the number) he stated he will call back and he terminated the call ignorant [***] hope he calls back!!!

They keep call about miss sold insurance !
