the number in question has rung here 5 or 6 times TODAY!! didnt answer it once,thats the reason i have an answer phone...if they want me that badly therell leave a message..cheeky *****...

Phone call received at 13:58 on Tuesday 4 May 2010. Said they were from Sky and was my SkyBox working OK. I said if it had not been working I would have phoned support. They then said they were contacting customers as they were sending out new viewing cards. As I had already received mine some time ago I knew this was some sort of scam. They then asked how I paid my account so they were angling to get my bank details somehow. I asked them why they were asking this as they would already know this information if they were really from Sky. I told them I did not believe they were from Sky at which point they rang off.

This number has called me twice in the last 2 days - yesterday at six ish and today at lunchtime. no message left, after reading these comments will not bother answering, though am concerned to read about the remote access to people's pc's...does this mean they already have your details, passwords etc?

This number was used to call me from a known scam - Go Green PC.net who gave me the phone number 02033 189416 and used the name Jen Watson

H ad a call from this number today just a moment ago, and ive been reading through this,, and im thinking these asians are very proffesional and are making good money from people that are stupid enuff to give there card details up thats why there doing that job,obviously, i say if only it was my buisiness i would be a millionaire!!!!! :))))

I've had 4 calls from this number today, the first 2 were witheld and asking me if my sky box was working properly but as he sounded dodgy I hung up. The 3rd time the same man with an asian accent rang again and knew my name and asked if the sky box was ok this time the number came up as 034009054, I said yes and he then hesitated and said ''ok you are a sky subscriber aren't you'' at which point I though if he was from sky he would obviously know I was so I hung up again. He then rang again and he sounded quite angry so I hung up immediately. I wont answer if he rings again.

Silent call.

Took call at 5.58pm today 07/05/10. Asian voice telling me that I was due monies back which I had overpaid on loans!!! I never spoke and put the phone down.

Have now had 9 calls from this number 4 of whitch were yesterday,always silent?? this has now become a pain. Can they be reported??

My mother had exactly the same problem with regard to this 034009054 telephone number.

First he rang last Saturday but she was on her way out, so he agreed to call back on Monday.

An Asian sounding gentleman, with a very deep accent, rang her at home and informed her that her Anti Virus was out of date and needed urgent attention.
He was purporting to be from the maintenance division of Windows.

My mother was suspicious of "Michael" but somehow he got her to agree to open her computer and to log on to the internet.

From there, he managed to persuade her to log onto a remote access website from a company called www ammyy com - please note - this company don't have anything to do with this scam,

Once she had done this, he asked her for a code, which she gave him and then he gained access to the computer and showed her that her anti virus needed updating / renewing.

Her then told her she could have something for a few hundred dollars, which she declined, informing him she was an OAP, to which he stated he could do something for her for 20 pounds - all he needed was a debit or credit card.....

She declined and asked him to call back to speak me, her son about the matter.....

He rung off and we await his call..............................

Is there anyone that we can report this number to, identify the owner of the number, locate the number, - ie---- STOP HIM FROM SCAMMING PEOPLE OF THEIR MONEY?

Who ever this caller is needs sorting because they are ask for a diffferent name then hang up. This has been going on for at last 5 years now.I have had enough

Just had a call from "Computer Maintenance" on this number ... there was a delay after I picked up, so clearly I had been dialled by a computer, and the operators were responding as people answered. I was asked for by my surname, but when I asked what she wanted, the Asian sounding woman kept repeating that she couldn't hear me. I eventually got my airhorn, that I keep for just such occasions, let her have it and hung up...

Man with asian voice calls saying he is from a computer firm. Tries to get you to look for alerts in registry. Will not take no for answer.

Hung up when answered, love to know how they get ex-directory numbers.

so so strange, called numerous times, call came up as 'international', when questioned said based in manchester?  could not answer any of my queries directly, put me on to supervisor who when asked where he obtained my number, mumbled something about data protection,  he repeatedly requested my home address and said of my unsecured loans, of which i dont have, only the usual credit card outgoings.  asked for his email address,  which is where i found this website,   apparently the asian chap i spoke with was called Kevin!!!!!,  thats like my surname being Patel!!! ( no offence intended)  He was also unable to properly disclose the reason and intention of the call.  insisted calling back to continue discussion.

Had a call from this number saying I have problems with my computer. Keep getting calls, but from a private number saying the same thing. Always an asian man.  Ask me to turn on my computer but I always refuse.

I got this call exactly. Asian guy(maybe) said his name was Peter Jackson. I asked him why he gave up directing hollywood blockbusters to do this line of work, didn't get a reply.

Asian guy claiming to be from Windows maintenace. He told me I had a problem with my computer. Totally dodgy call . Nothing wrong with my computer and if so how did he know my number .

Called Saturday afternoon by Asian woman, claimed to be calling on "behalf" of BT
and offered to add my name to Telephone preference scheme (TPS).
Cheeky little mare.........

Called by asian person, my wife received the call.
They said our PC was corrupted.  Could my wife look on the computer?
Fortunately my wife repeatedly said that she wasn't the main PC user in the house, could they call back at 1 p.m. GMT?
1471 said number withheld.
I had time to run vurus scan so I knew there hadn't been an intrusion.
A woman rang back at 1:50 p.m.  I repeatedly asked for the name of the company they were ringing from - they said Go Green PC, then I asked for the web address their company used, they had to ask around at their end for a moment (suspicious) and said www.gogreenpc.net.
Then a man came onto the other end of the line, so I asked him the same information, but he kept talking over the top of me.
I put the phone down eventually.  1471 gave the calling number as 034009054.
