I just had them call and try and gain my confidence saying they were a technical section of MicroSoft. Ofcourse they did not realise I know a hell of a lot about pc's so I played dumb to allow them to think I was. They tried to explain that several errors on my PC were detected by microsoft and they were there to help me fix them. All they wanted was to remote connect to my pc for a short time haha lmao you would have to be not just dumb but brain dead to allow any compnay or person you dont know or trust to axcess your pc. So anyone getting a bogus call from microsoft corp so called asking to axcess your pc only for a few secs hang up. Cause you allow them in one time unless you know a load about pc's they will be able to track all movements and everything you do on the computer especially if you use credit cards and things. More to the point the personal info they will have would be very dangerous. Just wanted to add to the list of this number of conn artists.

Just had same sort of call - home from work sick today.  Gave website as info@gogreenpc.net.  Wanted to wait on phone while I checked website.  I said no and do not call me again - called yesterday when my daughter was home sick with same virus.  He was shocked when my daughter could not access the files on our computer - security protected - necessary with teenagers...

Will not talk to them again!

Yeah do not answer this call i want to know how these f*****s get my number last time it was about sky but i dont even own sky said to them bit suspicious in it and they put the fone down these people are trying to get info out of us on our bank accounts and what not DON'T DO IT. unless you want your account emptied be more aware when this number calls again if it is anyone like a bank or something they will be able to recite your details to you thats the trick i allways use and not one has been able to if it keeps up im going to ofcom about it. and if i was any of you lot i would write down times and the numbers and go to ofcom also the more evidence they get the more they are able to investigate and get these people done

they rang me at 11 30 am didn`t answer it as i knew it was gonna be a scam of some sort so i let it ring until they hung up

have had many calls every week for months, despite telling them to stop, putting phone down etc.They always say my pc is not working well due to viruses but it's fine. There seems to be nothing I can do to stop them.

I had the one about problems with my sky dish too-- strange as I've no dish or sky!! I wish we could all get together and stop them!!

A Asian woman phoned me at 3.30pm saying she was from 24talk and saying about cheap line rental and calls etc, she was very hard to understand and after telling me this information I said  right and the phone went dead. Tried to ring number back and it says number not recognised, so obviously she wasn't working for 24talk. Don't give any information away to this number

Just had a call from Asian man calling to do a survey about Sky. Had my name and address and asked if I was happy with my Sky service. He got quite ratty when I kept pressing him for the company name and asked why he needed me to complete a survey. I hung after telling him if Sky wanted me to take part in a survey they should post it to me.

Had call from this number today and when I said hello, they did not say anything they just hung up after 10 seconds

This number rang me at home in Newcastle upon Tyne at 3pm on 30/6/10  after reading the comments posted here I am pleased we were all out. The caller chose not to leave a message on the answer phone. Will see if they call back and await with interest to see what scenario this apparent scammer intends to try  and use.

Had a call from   034009054 today. i didnt answer the phone, but i have had hundreds of calls from them before but never answered as i didnt know the number, but next time it rings me i will answer the phone and if they stay on long enough i will give them a piece of my mind.

Just had a strange call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, asking if my computer was running properly.
He said that I might have security issues that might cause harddrive failure and that could I spare a few minutes to run some checks with him to see if it was infected.
He then without giving me chance to speak asked me to switch the computer on.
He knew my name and postcode, and I said everything was running fine and was happy that there were no threats, & he was to bugger off.
I rang 1471 & got 034009054 as his number.

GOT A CALL FROM034009054 SAID THEY WERE ONLINE SUPPORT FROM MICROSOFT WHEN THAT SAID THEY GOT CALL BACKS FROM MY COMPUTER ABOUT VIRUSES  WHEN I WOULDNT BUY AN UPGRADE THE PUT PORN ON MY COMPUTER

Tried toi sell me Insurance for my Sky Digibox

got a call today telling me i had no virus protection but i know i do, the call was from an asian guy and the number he gave me was 02033189416 address he gave me was 24 broadway st london ne 61la, he also asked me to call into the office at the address well considering i am from glasgow i dont think so lol  am getting these calls about 2 to 3 times daily.

Recieved a call from this number when our phone is registered not to recieve calls from companies.
When I spoke he hung up
Call was at about 6pm when we have been recieving a few with no one there. This is the first 1471 that has worked

The caller from this number did not leave a message on my ansaphone. So I got their number from 1471. If they'd left a message I might have phone them back......but after reading much of the caller post history here, on this very public spirited website.......I don't think I'll bother picking up the phone to respond! Thanks everybody.
