I am so glad I came across this website too, I have been receiving these calls for about 4 weeks and it is so annoying, they call at all times of the day/ night...I don't give them details either...but I did ring Tru Energy and got put through to some indian call centre, after being on hold for about 40mins, and could not hear nor understand a damn word they are saying...I am now looking at different companies to go for...Tru Energy pull your finger out, get this problem fixed and for the love of god improve your damn customer service.

I received a call from this number today. I was at work and very busy. I had to put someone else on hold to take the call. The chick said she was from AGL and asked to speak to a person by my former name and asked me to verify my address. She knew my christian name and former suburb. She said well can I verify your date of birth then. Stupidly I gave her all the details. She said that there was an amount outstanding on my account and that i had not made a payment. I said i knew nothing and she would have to speak to my husband about it as I was at work! With that she apologised and said oh yes i see the account has been paid in full.
When i finished work i thought about how stupid it was to give my details out like that. I felt like it was a scam because our bill is paid in full and they only had part of my details correct.

i got a call from this number today, i rang it back and then about 10 minutes later someone rang back on my home phone saying it was the anz bank, it all sounded strange, and what i dont get is we have a private number,so im so annoyed that they called us. also the person on the other end took a while to speak and i had to say hello,hello i thought it was a prank call and then they said they were from the anz bank-it was all very strange, the person didnt sound proffessional at all,just weird and not all there......

got a call today from them, I have tried calling back & it rings a few times then gives the engaged signal

The number is Stellar, a call centre that work for many different companies companies and will always claim to be in the direct employ of the client they are serving at that time.

Its Stellar Call Centres in Melbourne i use to work for Stellar on the Telstra Bigpond contract its the Richmond Office lol

I getr calls from this number but when I try to return call it rings but goes to engaged tone.

Just had missed call. Tried to call back . No answer. I am telling them nothing!

I got a call today and when I answered, they hung up. No idea who this is.

Been getting calls form this number.It gets diverted from my biz line to my mobil at a cost to me every time.Its Telstra collecting more cash from us

Yep, answered on my mobile then they hung up , then they rang the home line and hung up on me again ?
Rung back but call is always rejected ?

I recieved a call today claiing they are from Tru Energy,  demanding payment for an account not due yet.  I contacted Tru energy they had no record of me being contacted.  It is a worry that someone knows both mobile and land line numbers, and the fact I have an account with Tru energy.  A serious breach of the privacy act.  I will be taking this further, legally.

I just had that number call me, and i tried to call back to see who it was and it hangs up on the 4th ring, thanks to everyone above, because now i will be more cautious

I am pretty sure this number belongs to AGL - so if anyone has not paid their bill this is the reason for the call.

I got a call on my mobile today x 3 times.  missed calls called the number back and it is busy. really annoying.

Person claimed they were our service provide for AGL.

They wanted our address.
We hung up on them, when they wouldn't clarify why they called and why they wanted our address.

I received a phone call from 03 84161400 to my mobile phone.
The man on the line claimed to be a police officer who had found my old mobile phone that was stolen one year ago.

He was asking me for details about the phone and said he would ring me back but never did.

I rang the police and they said they didn’t know of that number.

I rang Telstra faults to check the number to see if it was out of order, and was told it is a call centre number that can only ring out and you cant ring it back.

He said he was not allowed to tell me who’s number it was.

I feel there has been criminal activity committed by someone using this number and Telstra are protecting them.

I got call from0384161400 the guy said we didnot pay gas and he needs my credit card pay for that bill. I already set up auto pay on internet. so it is a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!everyone take care...............
