i get missed call from this number i want to know who that plz

same no one is leaving a message either

just tried to call it - it rang and they hung up on me!

Seems this is a scam

I had the exact same call today, from a fool trying to pass himself off as an official from AGL. 

This is what I said:

I believe that you mean to say that you're an independent debt collecting agency that is contracted by AGL. Congratulations, you just committed false representation. I'm a law student, I should know. 

What other illicit acts would you like to commit? Perhaps, harass me over a certain gas bill valued at $210 that was paid two days before the end due date (of which I have a post office bill-pay receipt)? 

I suggest that you apologise and hang up, to avoid any further legal action taken because of your stupidity.

Had a call from this number, I answered it and since there was no reply I hung up. I looked into my recieved calls on my phone from that number, and the weird thing is that apparently I have talked to them 5 times before ranging from 10 seconds to 18 minutes at random times (ie Sunday night) and I don't remember any of these calls taking place. I tried the Vodafone website but apparently I can't block calls from specific numbers!!!!!!!

I had this number call me today no message etc thanks for all the info, have placed it on my reject list - if they don't want to leave messages that is what I do from now on .  thanks again for all the info

Tried to call back and keeps hanging up after three rings...

On 13/10/10 I got this number on my phone - AGL about your overdue electricity account - all the way from Thailand!!

they are an indian call centre who are just trying to get info out of you. don't tell tehm anything other then to f off.

Hubby  received a call at 7.30 tonight on his mobile which he  missed. Just saw it and couldn't figure out who it was. So hubby Googled and we found this site.

If it is AGL, or some Tru Energy they have got the wrong number with us because we have never had an account with AGL or TRU  Energy.

Caller was Cat and they said it was urgent in relation to our AGL account...............that we don't have.

Right. Never answering this again. No idea who it is, never leaves message, never answers return call. Looks like we've had Synergy, Bigpond, Directory Assistance. Dodge

i got called too from that number today @12:16pm, i called it back twice on my mobile number and 4 times from my home number. it rang a couple of times (about 5 times) then hangs up. i am concerned and keen to know who is it

I keep getting calls from this number and when i answer they hang up.

Its from Telstra. I rang them and kept ringing till someone gave me the info. Then i put in a complaint. I just got another one today and the last one was a year ago.
As to whos using it i dont know and dont know why but to answer a couple of others who are saying they are being told its coming from any other companies i do this.
When AGL or anyone rings they usually say oh i want to confirm your details for security reasons i just say well "how can you confirm who you are. Ill call you back, give me a ref number, hang up and ring the buisness (agl, ect).

Yep got two calls no message at 3.14pm sat 20th November.

I just got two calls as well at 12:10 on 20/11. Tried to call back and it rings, then nothing...

its a company called Probe i used to work there theyre an outsorce call cenre for telstra origin AGL etc theyre a debit collections company
