Exactly the same as above but the number this time was 07049205895
appeared on caller display as 0044704920589

Yep just fell for it, rang a couple of times, 1471'd it then, like a doughnut, pressed ringback, gonna cost me, although no voice, line just immediately disconnected.......Like other posts beware, OFFCON get your act together!

07049 210842 a scam number with exactly the same problems as described for other 07049 numbers. Do not call it back, that's what they want. I went online first after doing 1471 and found this site.

Received a call from 07049205003 and no one spoke. Think it's a scam....don't call back as i did!

got a callfrom07049205574 they just hung up, lucky i hate using the phone but wondered if it was a mobile number so googled it, there should be a law about things like this happening.i bet alot of ppl do phone it back.

Just had a call from this number: 070492104762. A male voice said " hello hello, can you hear me?" then the line went dead. Luckily I didn't call back after I dialed the 1471 line to find out who the call was from. I quickly googled the number and got this site which confirmed what I had already guessed it to be. A scam or prank call.

I got this same phone call from 07049210559. A man with an English accent saying, "Hello, hello? Can you hear me?" Then the man (or the recording) then hung up.

I googled the whole number to no avail, then I googled only 07049 and this website was listed. Shady scheme they've got going on.

It was a male voice, 'bad line' saying 'hello, hello'! The line went dead!
First thing I done was 'ask Jeeves' as I have had previous 'funny'-not, calls.

I had a call from 07049 205942 with a mans voice saying hello then cut off. Do not redial

Got a call this morning from 07049205906 in exactly the same manner as all the previous calls posted on here, Thankfully didn't call back but instead googled it. I guess all we can do is keep posting their (ever changing) numbers on here to warn others. Vermin, the lot of them!

Received a call from 07049210654. Just hung up.

Just had a call from 07049 210056, picked up the phone but was dead, so did a 1471 got the number and phoned it back,  got through to answerphne with a message asking me to leave my number and they would call back. Nice little scam!

Received call today from 07049210037 - no-one answered but when I checked this 'special tariff number' they hoping people will call back only to be charged at inflated rate.  Agree BT etc should have a conscience and put a STOP to these scams.  Cant a petition be set-up and sent to BT, government, specific T.V. programmes that represent the public?

Received a call from 07049 210289 - caller saying "Hello Hello" in an educated English voice.  Then cut off.

Got a call from 07049 205 965 (1471 said 0447049.. ), a man said 'Hello..? Hello..? Can you hear me?' And then static and a recorded message saying 'This service could not be..' . I hung up then. Something very fishy. Worrying because the man almost sounded in distress. Awful, awful people.

Had a call this afternoon from 07049 205720 - rang twice but then hung up before I got to the phone.

Do not ring these numbers back - it is a premium rate scam.
