- Catherine WorthI also have had this number call on numerous occassions asking to speak to my husband, theysaid they were MBNA (a credit card company)
- Mr.AnnoyedAnother scam artist , getting my phone number by improper means , I'm ex directory , but yet these cold calls just keep on coming. I am getting at least one a day now from various adverstising companies. I don't bother to pick up the phone anymore unless I recognise the number (caller ID). I just write down the number and then mention it on this site , Cold calls are increasing by an alarming rate & surely there should be some law that gets enforced upon these scalliwags!. ANNOYING!!!!.
- Mr.AnnoyedJust had another call from these idiots! , That's 2 calls within an Hour , unbelievable!.
- Mr.AnnoyedYet another call from this number , 3 times in one day. And all in the space of 2 Hours!.
- Mr.AnnoyedAnother one.
- Mrs Fed up!I'm off work with a painful knee injury and this number has phoned my house 6 times yesterday and 4 times in the last 2 hours. They either hang up when I eventually struggle to the phone to answer it or they do not leave a message on my answerphone. It is obviously not THAT important otherwise they would leave a message. If I do get to speak to whoever is on the other end they are going to get a piece of my mind - that's for sure. Bloody pests!
- meNuisance calls from 08000191773
- Annoyed!!!Not as often as some get it but they call my mobile about once a month. Wasters!
- RobbieHas anyone put their number on the TPS?
If your number is registerd on there, people are not allowed to cold call you (and you can make a complaint to the TPS about them).

Just about to put my number on there myself.

6. How can I reduce the receipt of silent calls?
There is a separate service called Silent CallGard. You can register with them by calling 0870 4443969.
----------------
According to the saynoto0870 site, the alternate telephone number to the one above is: 0800 0831138.
You need to register every 12 months for the Silent CallGard service.
You can also register online here: http://www.ukdatait.co.uk/cgi-bin/sgAddNumber.cgi - SiobhanI have been getting calls from this number a lot recently. - PhilAfter about a week of getting six calls a day, I decided enough was enough. The company behind these calls is STELLAR, and it's a form of telemarketing. When I answered one of the many calls, they hung up. They get your number through things you may have, including credit cards and store cards. Anyway, your best bet is to call 01294225300 and 'unleash hell' - I did, and the woman could not apologise enough, removing my number from her list immediately. So far - no more calls.
- EI am currently recieving 3-4 call a day from this number> I dont answer and no message is left. Driving me mad!!!
- Stellar EmployeeJust like to make a few points after reading loads of these comments.
1. Dont just ignore the calls then complain as you keep getting called. If you answer and actually listen to the person calling then all will become apparent. If we get a call and we hear an answerphone we put the call disposition down as "Answer machine service", which means you automatically will be redialled.
2. If you actually talk to the caller and let them talk to you, and BE POLITE, then if you say you would not be interested, then that is marked as "Not Interested" and you wont get a call back. Basically, if you mess us around on the phone by dropping the handset and walking away, or annoying the caller, chances are you will have earned the star prize of a callback :) Not only that, but just keeping us on the line will just earn us more bonus so in fact you are doing us a favour! Also, the companies we are dialling from also pay for our services, which in turn you end up paying for, so the more we charge them, the more they charge you, so keep it up :)
3. If you cant take the call at that time, the caller will offer to call you back at a time when its suitable.
3. The reason we are calling you is that you supplied your consent when you took out a card or a catalogue. Please remember that a lot of these forms you fill out are now "opt out" instead of "opt in". Dont assume that as u didnt tick a box, you wont have given consent. We dont cold call - all calls are via another company who supply Stellar with the details, usually as you are a customer of a credit card or catalogue company.
4. If you call the switchboard on 01294 225300 they will remove you from the list. One less wasted call on the system makes way for a potential sale.
5. Dont take your vengeance out on the callers. We are only doing a job, and we dont actually dial the numbers. Trust me, we hate empty phone lines as well and much rather talk to a human being as it passes our day as well.- Caller: Stellar
- SarahI get phonecalls from this number several times a day (Mon-Fri) and despite answering it, nobody is on the other end, just silence! I have given up answering now. It started 4 weeks ago when I was recovering from an operation and it was difficult to get to the phone in time! Not a happy bunny.
I understand what "stellar employee - 17th May 09" is saying but even when we do answer the damn phone, nobody speaks to us!
Leave us all alone! Or if you do want us for something, at least leave a message and we'll get back to you! - Delbhoystellar employee all i can say is what you have said its rubbish if you have read my prev notes you will know i worked for them when they where called excell ( was there also when they changed to stellar ) and as for peopple hanging up on you doesnt earn you any sort of bonus ( depends what campaign you are on ) and also the other thing is aswell what you said in regards to peopple picking the phone up and then you,se hanging up we used to do it alot if we could not be bothered talking to peopple i know the robes i did the job for 3 years+ so please go bark up some 1 elses tree as you are telling these people alod of crap
- Delbhoyand 1 other thing in regards to what stellar said about not intrested getting marked down as that yes he / she is right but if the dialler runs out they refresh it and yes you guessed it you get the same call back that day. Also when you take out credit cards store cards etc DONT tick the box that says do you wish your details to be passed on to third parties. If i am correct in saying stellars BIGGEST client is MBNA so DONT TICK ANY MARKETING BOXES AND YOULL BE FINE CHEERS
