silent call. one a day

I had a women ring from this number.  I went on to tell her to take my number off the list as i had not given my permission to ring.  She told me that she would try.  I told her not to try, to do it as we had had enough so she gave me a number saying it was central capital and the number was  0160389651. This was after she had told me to register with TPS.  I told her that we had and she told me i hadnt because she could still call.  I rang the number that she gave and they said they hadnt even got my number and i wernt on the records do coldnt do anything.  We have only lived in this house and had this number for 3 week and we are getting about 15 cold calls/marketing and sales calls a day.  I have registered witht the TPS so how can they still get my number.

I am receiving several calls a day from this number but there is never anyone on the end of the line. There is a few seconds of silence, a click, a few more seconds of silence and then the line goes dead.

keep getting calls from this number but never spoken to anyone as when I pick the phone up it is initially silent so I then put it down. I am getting about half a dozen or more a day & am fed up of it. I am registered with teh TPS already & dont know what else to do?

I had a call from this number and I answered it. It was a bloke from a finance company asking about my mortgage and getting me a better deal (I don't have a mortgage! so no idea how they got my details!) I told the guy this and he asked if i would like one!  I said no and hung up - haven't had a call since though.

Central Capital have a freephone number listed on their website - 0800 032 23 20 if anyone wants to ring them and ask to be taken off their lists.

I think that a lot of companies ignore TPS because we're on this list and we still get sales calls.

sick to death of getting phone calls of this number. how do you get rid of them.

Getting phone calls everyday no one on other end of line phone sometimes twice a day i m with tps and this is a nightmare

I've now set up my modem to call their 0800 number every 5 mins all night until I feel they've stopped calling me. Will at least cost them some money.

I receive a missed call from this number everyday!! i dont answer as i know it is a nusence call

0800 032 23 20 Called them on this number spoke to Tracy Mcauley. She admitted they use excell, apologised profusely and said she wouild contact them immediately to get them to remove my number. We will see....Am also contacting TPS to make them aware.

This B****** woke me up today and hung up when I answered.
I have just changed my provider from TalkTalk back to BT because of cold calling  . Any connection?

seems to be calling my answer machine every 3 to 4 hours then hangs up between the hours of  nine to seven at present, most annoying as this is a ex directory number, im contacting  tps and bt about this to try and get it stopped.

I just got a call from this number, 5 minutes after getting a call from another scamming number! (02920822637 - also mentioned on this site)

Didn't answer either, although im considering answering next time just to give them a piece of my mind, or using the whistle idea!

I got a call from this number, but when I went to answer it the person on the other end put the phone down.

Keep getting a call form this numbe every day, as usual there is no-one on the other end of the phone. I have dialled the number and there is a recorded message saying that someone tried to ring me and I wasn't available. They also give me a number to ring to take my name off the list, why should I have to call them? It is not doubt anyother 'scam' number and will cost me a fortune!!

Has something happened in the past 2 weeks ?
My mobile number is on a few friends phones and no where else ..
I never give it out to any organisation and I've had the same number for nearly 4 years, also its X-directory and I'm on TPS for for this one and my landline ...
Never had any hastle until the past two weeks when this 08000191773 has rung me in excess of 8 times ? And yes i made the mistake of answering it the first time after the 3rd ring and it was silence then line went dead ....

calls me two or three times a day on my mobile - silence for a few minutes then hangs up! so annoying!

I have just had the same thing happen to me, what exactly do they think they are going to achive by calling people and hanging up as soon as they answer!

I had it today too, line just went dead after a couple of seconds
