These calls started a few days ago after I applied (and was approved for) an MBNA affinity credit card.

Finally, today someone didn't immediately terminate the call but spoke to me and, low and behold, they "wanted to go over the benefits of the card with me".
Obviously, I already had decided I wanted this card, so why describe the benefits to me?

I told the lady about the previous calls ("oh, the dialler must have out of tune") and that googling the number had shown that this was a frequent event - no reply to that.

I terminated the call pretty quickly but not before the lady managed to ask me if I wanted to tranfer any outstanding amounts from other cards. There we go.

I should say that I selected to be contacted by email only about offers etc. when I applied for the card.

In the last 5 days i have had 13 calls from this number, i am sick of it!!  Do we know who it is?

They work on behalf of all the other companies mentioned on these pages.  I suppose you could pester Ofcom about it, though they take a lot of pushing to do anything.

Phone rings, I pick up & say hello, then its as if they just hang up on me with out saying anything.

This number called twice last night asking for Mr X; first time told them they had the wrong number; second call I just set the receiver down until they got fed up then cut them off!

rang me today ...who rthey ?  silence for a few minutes then hangs up! so annoying!

I thought this was only happening to me !!!! Glad I've found this site, I think my Hubby thought I was making 'all these silent calls' up !!!

had a call from these today, only 1 so far. best part is it was to a mobile phone i only dug out of the cupboard today, which also logged with TPS... back in the cupboard it goes!!

i had this today i've had it up to 3 times so far, on one at the other end of the line and will then go dead, this has been on going know for two weeks or more still not spoke to anyone yet, so i just put it down.

I've just called Stellar UK and hung up 20 times - teach the b*stards the hard way... hehe :)

i just received my first phonecall from them claiming to be from aston villa football club
i told them i wasn't a fan and they hung up
i hope this isn't the start of something horrible

Missed the call so dialled the number.  Was told we were called by STELLAR UK on behalf of a client who wanted to offer me a service and that if I wanted to be removed from their list I was to call 0845 1307252.

Ive been receiving calls from this number for around a week now.  Its half past one in the afternoon and Ive already had 4 calls today from them, bad enough but Im on night shift just now so they have woken me each time.  I really want to scream down the phone at them so badly!!  Im with TPS, and ex-directory, I don't even know my own landline number never mind anyone else so who knows where they get the number from.
So annoying.

I too got a credit card through MBNA and this started.  0-5 calls a day come through, all unsolicited.

This number is becoming a nuisance - how do you complain about it?  I've been receiving calls from it for a couple of weeks now (despite being registered with the TPS).  I rang the 08000 number and got a number to call to be taken off the list.  This I did, but have received a couple of calls.  I've just received another one, from the 08000 number and this time actually spoke to someone.  I asked him if it was the 08000 number that I'd had before and he said that it wasn't, even though the number was clearly shown on the display.  I told him that I didn't want any more calls, and that I'd already told STellar UK this before.  I rung the 0845 number again and reiterated that I no longer wanted calls.  What else can I do?

i have just sent a fax to stellar uk threatening them with the police probably wont do any good but made me feel better

Changed my credit cad to Virgin money and then had this number call me.

I remember writing my phone number down when i set up a DD on this account.

getting one call per day at around 7pm. Nobody on line. I have seen on google that this may be Capital One. Whoever it is needs to be shut down or at leat fined by the regulators.
