Got call this morning. its DWP. I get carers allowance for looking after my disabled brother. Missed the call....called back to get an answer machine message saying "We called you earlier but you were unavailable. You do not need to call us back as we will call you again if necessary.

The corporation is forcing poor people to be exposed to services that cost money, as most only have mobile phones, and no land line available in the job centres, this is a dirty tricks campaign, non violent, non cooperation is the best course of action, they don't care about you, just seeking to deter people from claiming what they are justly intitled to,

I have had a call from this same number. I am on Income Support and have been since May 2014. I haven't been in touch with DWP recently in regards to my claim therefore I am baffled as to why i received this call. A voice mail had been left by a woman who didn't sound too friendly, it didn't say my name or who they were just that they are from DWP and have left me a voice mail as I didn't answer and will call me again. I just wanted to know if this number is legit?

I've had a call from 0800 0232 635 evey day this week leaving a message to contact them (DWP)
Any 0800, 0845, etc. numbers that I don't know,  or it comes up "unavailable"
I don't answer the call.
If it is a government dept like the DWP, then they must send me an offical letter not, phone, send an email, SMS, or tweet etc.

I didnt know the number so i didnt answer it the first time, so they kept ringing and when i answered eventually they ended the call

This is pure scamming just to get extra information from you. You may think the info is trivial. Be assured its not.
DO NOT give ANY information to these people.

Just had a call from a lady at this number stating she was from DWP. Checking info on my ongoing claim, didn't ask any questions that were too intrusive, just wanting to make sure nothing had changed so my claim wouldn't change

Missed call, rang the number back and it said I don't need to call back, they will ring me again if it's urgent!

They have just called me today they did ring yesterday but i wasnt in she phoned back this morning and was quite pleasant she said she was just reviewing my claim for JSA  and too check im getting what im entitled too i was worried yesterday after reading some posts on this forum but she assured me everything was fine  ... the only question i didnt like she asked was whats in my bank account atm which really is nothing too do with them she reassured me it was just too confirm i had no savings in there .... she ended the call by saying my  jsa will carry on getting paid and to notify my job advisor with any changes so they are the DWP

DWP calling about benefits, I missed the call twice and they txt me saying they will call again giving date and time of next call

Got a call from this number but didn't answer. They left voicemail saying they were calling from DWP and asked me to call them back on 0151 649 1245. I called and I told them they left msg to call back. She asked for my NI number and asked if I received a text asking to call them and I told her again it was a voicemail so said I will find out who called you and get them to call back within 10 mins and hung up. Still waiting for that callback........

Still waiting for that callback however I have just received a text from DWP advising me to call the 0151 number. I already called that number and was told they would call me back not text me. Will try again and see what happens.
