- AndrewHad a phone call from I think this number, saying he was from BT name Andy saying employee number D650120 call reference 2971l or L , but found later that an account from gmail.com was from Ramesh Agarwel as agarwelramesh113@gmail.com. He stated that I had a lot of errors on my computer, offered to clean them? for me, used TeamViewer II, SideBySide and supremocontrol.exe. Didn't know what was going on. He asked for £3 for Microsoft Certificate because it had expired? Have since looked on computer, used MalwareBytes Antimalware to get rid of any bad files, phoned above number, they said they would phone back, and that it was from BT, Phoned real BT and they said no phone calls were made and that they would not phone me anyway because I was not with BT.

They asked me my name my address and postcode, should they not already have all this information if they are calling me. - JotonyI had reason to call BT's problem line this lunchtime and received good support including being advised that my service problem was being escalated to level 2. Late afternoon (scam time!) I received a call from this number apparently following up this morning's call. Asian lady from BT. After a few brief exchanges she said she was referring me to another department. The transfer went to BT's general number ie statement that I was in a queue, could also obtain advice online and would be answered as soon as possible. I only then realised this was a scam and terminated. BT really have to prevent this abusive use of their number as another's user I D.
- Caller: A scam
- The ObliteratorThese clowns just called me. "This is BT, may I know who I am speaking with please?" Me "If you're BT, shouldn't you know who you called?" They then repeated: "My I know who I am speaking with?" Me: "Who did you call?" Them: "I am not allowed to give that information out." Me: "If you were BT you would know who you called, now bugger off." Hang up.
