Pain in the back sides as they phone tons of time

I have just been rung by this number, a few times in quick succession, on ringing back i find out it is British Gas making a courtesy call

Just got called by 08000 725 230 but when it went on to my answer phone, did not leave a message

I am receiving calls from this number several tinmes every day. Often the line goes dead if I answer.  I do not have any account with British gas.  They are a dreadful company and do not deserve to be called 'British'. I generate my own electricity and heat the house from bio-fuel, I can sell any surplus back to the grid through 'Good Energy'.

Calls every day from 08456755516 or 08000725230. Recorded message claiming to be an important call from British Gas Business.

Haven't called back so I've no idea whether genuine or not. In any case it's costing them money every time they call.

I keep getting this call day after day and am sick of it.  The website says British Gas courtesy call, not even with them.  Wish they would stop!

I have just switched supplier so they are calling to make you stay if you have recently tried to change supplier worse company i've ever known definetly will not change back to thhem ever over charge high direct debits worse customer service ever known

Calls from this number and other similar British gas numbers went on and on every day for many months. I asked my husband to speak to them, so that the calls would stop. Hm it stopped for a month, but the calls started again 8pm. When we answer the phone, they close it.

Was getting my mobile spammed by this number about once a day at random times. Could have just blocked it, but having a spare moment I phoned British Gas on their normal Freephone number 0800 048 0202. They confirmed that 08000725230 is one of their "marketing" numbers, and promised to change my account details to stop me being cold called (though warning that this takes 48 hours to take effect). Will see what happens ...

phoned me whilst i was out, no message left as usual with british gas - useless company who only make their name worse than it is by calls such as these.

I'm 17 live with parents who aren't with them and have no plans to move out. what do they want from me!!!

Yep, British Gas - changed supplier via internet about 2 weeks ago, received many calls now, but refuse to speak to them

Got a call from these guys today at 830pm. I ignored it as knew it would be sales. Picked up phone to see who called and got the busy tone - they had failed to put the phone down on their side and tied up my phone line for 15 mins!! i am a customer of Scottish Gas and when they were calling up to 4 times a day last year, I emailed complaints/customer 'service' and told them that my online account info details that I do not wish to be contacted by phone and an apology was given - now they are calling again. Past few days my bank has called me for sales purposes and again my online account says not to be contacted by phone. Why do companies ignore their customer's wishes??
