Acording to a listing a little further down the page its British Gass.  I dont like these calls and never answere them.  Makes you wonder how important people believe ones privicy is.

It is British Gas.  Had call from this number today to comfort an appointment for Thursday.

It's British Gas. It's an automated appointment confirmation message, although probably used for other reasons too. I got a call from this number yesterday to confirm I'm still available for when they're supposedly coming to replace my meter this week.

100% British Gas - they ring you to see if you have asked to change suppliers if you're in the middle of a change

Daily calls - multiple times - I suspect it is British Gas - as I have just moved into a property that was supplied by them and I decided to stay with my own supplier - I do have a service contract with them though which is why they have my mobile number.  I don't pick up calls from blocked, 0800 or 0845 numbers - and they never leave a message - had a similar experience a few years ago - they do eventually get the hint...just takes a lot of time...

I get calls on my home number and my mobile at least 3 times a day from this number. I never pick it up, but it does not stop them trying. Getting on my nerves now.

I've been called by this number four times on my mobile.  I missed the first three but my husband answered the fourth call and passed them on to me saying "British Gas for you".  They wanted to arrange an appointment to change my meter to a Smart Meter.  I just said "thanks but no thanks".  I am suspicious as they wanted to know my mobile number and my address - they were ringing me on my mobile number !

The number is listed on a Sottish Housing association web site as Scottish Gas.

It is from British Gas. They called to confirm an appointment regarding smart meter installation. They leave a number to call if you want to change or cancel it (08009755555) and a reference number. Let's wait and see.

I am getting calls from this number, they say that they are customer complaints from British Gas!!

This number keeps ringing me, twice in an hour, told him to bugger off, hope that stops them.

These people are getting annoying, call different times of the day. Just like number generating centres, hangs up when you get to it, do not answer and they do not leave message. If they do claim to be British Gas, as others have mentioned before, do not deal with them. British Gas main site has a link near ther bottom of their page called "Did we call you", just enter the number that called you as I did today, and this number is not recognised. Obviously yet another scam to get money from those who do not know better. When we get a goverment with balls, they may just get round to solving this problem that has been around for well over 10 years.............

Don't know who this is. They call at least four to five times daily and don't leave any messages.
It's really anoying.

There is no such thing as a 'courtesy' call, believe me. It is ALL about trying to sell you something. And if you DON'T complain to them about receiving the call, they will use it as an excuse to call you again.

I had a call from them this morning. My boiler service contract is due for renewal in a couple of weeks time and - because I have had the letter for a couple of weeks and not (as yet) done anything about renewing it, they are starting to ring to pester me about it.

Well go away, BG. I will take any action needed in my own time (if I wish) and no amount of unsolicited phone calls will make any difference.
