Now they're phoning me on my mobile!!!! Barclays looking for more business, they're not going to get it this way!

Hi, i have had enough of barclays ringing me on my mobile to review accounts. it is getting silly now and seems to be every 3 months or so. i review my account online every few days so why do they have to ring me? normally i am in work and otherwise at home trying to manage my kids. totally unacceptable. i even asked them to take me off the calling list. anymore of this and i will leave them.

Just got a call from this number but ignored it left a voice mail but just general office chit chat shall add to contact list as junk so i can hang up in future

Because we all make mistakes and if they mis dialled the number and just took it for granted they were talking to the correct person gave out details of your account ect you wouldn't be to happy

I was just called by this number I answered and heard a man at the other end but he never spoke to me.

got a call on monday evening and the person said she was calling from barclays and just wanted to chat. prior to that she was asking for some details but i cut her off by saying i was too tired and was told i'd get another call back soon. sounds dodgy for barclays to be calling for a chat!

Had a call today from a person saying they are Barclays asking for my security details at 18.00 they said my details were incorrect. As they were not I am concerned.

Called and hang up when answered. Fed up with these type of calls

I got a call today for survey on my recent meeting with my bank manager. He asked for my DOB and then mother's maiden name. I gave them my DOB and partly the maiden name as I got suspicious.

I went to my bank and they confirmed that it was a fraudulent call.

i found a missed call from this number and i want to know who called me.

I would doubt its legitimacy. For those who say it is and they'll identify themselves by telling you account info, I don't have a barclays account, certainly not linked to the business mobile and yet this number is ringing me. Not normal behavior for a bank. They wouldn't be able to identify my account as there is no account. Its very dodgy.

asked me tif i dont mind to talk to barclays and before start to
give them my date of birth and to answer on security question

i always chuckle at these comments as a lot of them are completely untrue, if you dont work for barclays how do you know the process? i have worked for the contact centre for 5 years now and it still seems some ppl cant comprehend the fact that if we ring we have to check who you are and im glad a few of the ppl who has commented have brain cells to realize that. the reason Barclays ask d.o.b is a customer uses dob all the time whether it be ordering shopping to Christmas presents to Facebook also its on the electoral role. And as for mothers maiden surname  we only ask for the last two and unless you go threw every possible name how could you guess the whole name  THINK ABOUT IT!

Oh and for the last comment i bet you would look good in a tutu

not barclays we only call till 8pm

I get calls from these jokers quite regularly..I am not nor have I ever been a customer of Barclays..but my wife is (and it's her old phone that I'm using...)
Now for the past 3 years she has had another phone and a new number ...so why the Sam Hill do these people ring the old handset number?

...Are they incapable of reading the contact details they have for my wife? Or is it as I suspect they ring as many numbers as they can current and old in order to make their daily quota?
Whatever the reason IF it is indeed a Barclays endeavour they should be monitoring what these call centres are doing as at the present time they are not doing anything to promote Barclays, rather they are making Barclays the least likely choice of bank by annoying people by cold calling..ENOUGH ALREADY!

Got a call from  08000852652 at 0610 GMT and they hung up as soon as i answered....BT get on the case

clearly your wife has not deleted or updated her number so mystery solved no quota is used so were did u get that stupid idea?????
