Just had the automated call from this company, I suppose I'll be on the list with everyone else as my number gets sold on. And yes I'm also registered with TPS but it no longer seems to make a difference.

I get lots of nuisance calls, some just cold calls (I don't like, but I appreciate that everyone has to make a living somehow) and some of the obvious scam type eg "I am calling from microsoft as your computer has an infection, please follow my instructions carefully". Grrr!

Had this call at various points over the last week. I work in the data industry etc. The TPS does not apply to calls coming from India. I wish it did but its just not recognised. Therefore there is little point mentioning that you are on the TPS registers as this only helps with UK cold calling.

So the TPS does make a difference but only when relevant. Also if you are a customer of a company then the TPS wont apply as SKY as an example will be allowed to call you if you have a SKY box unless you have specified otherwise.

Had another call from this number today

I got a call from them on Tuesday. Since then I've had numerous calls from companies, I asked one when they got the number and it was on Tuesday.  It's particularly annoying as the company closed in the summer and it's now a residential address.

Call and go for option 4 - I got a stroppy woman who then put me through to customer services and the guy was really nice. I explained our home number wasn't a business and he took a note of the number and promised it would be removed from their database, no stress after getting past the stroppy woman
