I keep getting calls from this number. I answer and they hang up every time!!

This number calls me constantly every day at least 10 times a day. They ask for a person who doesnt live here, which there told each time. They said they would update there system, dont identify who they are this has now become unbearable and they should be stopped.

I keep getting calls from this number, but its silent when i answer. Getting a few a day, but also getting calls from other santander numbers. Spoke to the local branch who called an office to tell them to remove us from the system, but it doesnt seem to have worked!

I've had a few calls from this number too. I don't answer any number I don't know and for good reason.
It could quite possibly be a genine Abby call as I am a customer with them for the house mortgage, so I'll answer next time they call and find out.

We have had umpteen calls from this number and no reason or explanation as to why was given or indeed what they wanted. If anything is important they can always put it in the post.

This number has called 3 times and hangs up each time I answer.  I wonder if the caller from Santander have to make a certain amount of phonecalls so they do them without talking just to get them registered?

Claimed to be from Santanda Bank, they said can we go through a few checks to verify who i was to which i reply'd you have rang me so you should know who i am and said i would not be saying any more, to this she said it has some thing to with an account of mine, i told the woman since i have had no account with you can you stop ringing me, she said they would keep ringing back, i am now going to buy another sim card,

What is wrong with people.

This number is to do with f---ing Santanda, however if you have had another account with another bank or building society they may have ownership of them as well as a few posts have said they have not had an account with santanda,

Indian call centre and if you say i have no account with them they hang up and ring later, have had a couple of calls as well with number withheld from the same company.

If you want them to stop full stop just tell them to f--k off.

still get calls asking for smith no one lives here with that name they keep saying to get my number removed but it still happens!!!!!

Here we go again more phone calls for a anna smith going to get this number block had enough of them!!!!

Santander. Sales call. Pain in the ****.

Reporting them to OfCom and writing a letter threatening FOS complaint.

We are on TPS as well.

All they did was phone you .. if your phone puts your employment in jeopardy .. switch it off !!

Had a call today, a woman said she was from Santander (I have an account) and would I confirm my date of birth for security purposes. I asked if she could confirm that she was truly from Santander and she hung up. Even allowing for the poor reputation Santander has for customer service, I am inclined to believe this was not a genuine call.

Yes me too. It's a scam. Don't pick up 'phone from numbers you don't recognise and call your bank/write to request their number that would be calling you if they need to.

Had a call from this number who asked for information. Said I dont give out info over the phone, so they said no problems and goodbye. Phoned my bnak security who said that the "Real" bankers would not phone me and ask for details, it would be either a automated serive asking you to call them. BEWARE.......dont fall for it!

Yes, the number is used by Santander Customer Services but I would be cautious about giving information without checking.

I have a mortgage with Abbey/Santander but why call me at 3pm on a Sunday.

received calls from this number, the man confirmed my santandar ac and sort code before i pass him any information. Then h informed me that i have a unauthorized overdraft of £245 and he was also showing me the high court, low-court, supreme court everything so that i get scared and pay him at least a part of that. But i said to him i dont have any activities on Santander in last 6 months (because i know how [***] they are!). Then i realised its a fraud call and i immediately requested him to call me back tomorrow.
However, i called actual Santander to report that but the person answered my call after 20 mins of waiting, he asked me few security question which i passed then after few mins he's saying unfortunately he can not take the  conversation further because I havent passed the security details. Then I go to him, you must be wrong because you asked my a/c no, sort code, last 4 digits, 3 digit from back of card and everything i was giving from my card infront of me! then i asked him you can ask further security details but he says, sorry you have to call again and wait another 20-30 mins bla bla bla..
I am not happy with them at all!

The last story is, that was a fraud call but with genuine details. let me explain, I had a bounced payment of £4.45 back in June'11 and because i dont use Santander often and dont hv any overdraft limit so the system charged me £25 which was consequently building up the charges up to £245 and I did not know! However I have sorted this with santandar but my question is how do the fraudulent party knows about my updated  activities on the account? I am afraid and I doubt about maintaining the "Privacy and Confidentiality" by the Santander itself and I do advise people not to leave you big amount of money to a company's locker  who's system isn't secured enough!
