BE WARNED - THEY seem to pry on older people how they get there contaact details I do not know.......
- tom agnew replies to NanIts a big scam job - they contact people to tell them they are from Telephone Preference Services and that they can stop nuiscance calls at a cost of 1.96per quarter. WHAT A LOAD OF B......S the way to stop nusicance call is to contact Telephone Prefefrence Service Ditrect - they contacted my mother in law last week and obtained her bank details - luckily she told us about it and we got onthe free phone number to HOMEGUARD - they will be reported to the POLICE
- kenI was offered 3 levels of service to stop unwanted calls. Not sure what i would have got from the cheapest (about £2.00) a month. The name and number was as below and with the freephone no 08006226710.
I have also received calls relating to Sky insurance - they dont seem to know that i dont have Sky!!!- Caller: Telephone security by homeguard direct
- MarkWas called today, but the number was withheld. "Sarah" told me they had noticed I was getting a large number of nuisance calls. And for £1.90 a month they could get my name off the lists, and would employ methods to keep me off.
I asked if they had a website.
http://www.homeguarddirect.co.uk/ she said.
I told her it says it's "under development".
She said it's coming back soon.
It got totally unbelievable when she said it would become "illegal for anyone to call you once I become a customer".
Anyhow, played dumb and she will send me out some literature.- Caller: Homeguard Direct - Telephone Monitoring

- Bob pot| 1 replyEvery one on here who has issues with this/these scamsters need to go to either the FSA or to OFCOM as they can take action on your behalf. I used to work there and can promise you they are scamming you. They run several different campaigns from one office... the person who nuisance calls you is say next to the person who calls you about blocking nuisance calling..... its a major scam and the more people who act and report them then the more likely it is they will be shut down and stopped.

Wow....so she gave me her sales pitch about so many sites have my number (about 100+)and she has noticed we get alot of calls but once I pay them its illegal for these company's to contact me........so I told her I do not go ahead with anything without my husbands say so-yeah right!!!! but a good 'get of the phone without being to rude' NOW i know this is a scam as im not that gullible or trusting, anyway 'Julie' is calling me back tomorrow so I've decided to test her system because she knows I get a lot of 'cold calls' .......so I'm compiling a list of questions for her to convince me to take out her product so here's a few questions please feel free to give me more suggestions to ask......
1,how do you know I get a lot of nuisance calls?
2,who is monitoring my phone to obtain this knowledge?
3,if you are a legit company and want my custom ( not a chance ) who were the last 3 nuisance callers who contacted me?
I will post answers ( if she can ) of if any one is remotely interested and I will be reporting this company too..- Caller: Home guard direct / telephone security

- JoeI received a call from TEG Security Through Homeguard Direct saying I had bank accounts with which I could claim PPI from. They even named the banks, and said they could send out a form for me to fill in and return. They would do the rest.
I smelled a rat, and told them I needed time to think about it (while I looked it up on here). I certainly won't be dealing with them, but will say that the call is being recorded as they said to me.- Caller: TEG Security Through Homeguard Direct

- Update.. replies to lisa whoo| 4 repliesNo one except a reputable (ish) telephone company can stop these cold callers ( and only from this country and even then its a elimination process of 10 numbers etc..)and how could a 'company' monitor your number? They can't and they don't-if you notice no one has said they paid for this service and all calls have stopped!! Fact is its a big scam....just google and you can find out all this information to back up what every one is saying!! Add some common sense into the mix and you will see its what every one is saying a money swindling scam!!!
- Nan replies to Update..If the person in question bothers to read your post and several more on here she will realise just what a scam it is. Unfortunately common sense seems to be in short supply sometimes.
- lisa whoo replies to Update..| 2 repliesThey dont say they monitor your number they say there in charge of monitoring sales and marketing companys or something. So your wrong there, but id like to know if this company is still going and if they will get shut down? Is there any one looking into this or are people just complaining? Has anyone rung the fca... or complained to somone who can look into this??
- Old Mother Riley replies to lisa whoo| 1 replyI believe you should be addressing those questions to your local Trading Standards office. This site exists to allow people to exchange information about unwanted phone calls but no-one using it is going to be familiar with the type details you request.
- ... replies to Old Mother RileyThat made sence.
- BellaNot being funny but everyone is complaining about this on here yet no one is going to do anything about it ? If you are so sure this is a scam contact the fca if not then stop acting so cocky ...
