If someone is careless and negligent enough to hand over card details, over the phone they deserve to have their account wiped out! These pensioners need to start learning to have some sense or be put in homes I say.

my mother got a call saying they are a non-profit organization,and that they can help in blocking nuisance calls.she agreed to give her credit card details and I became wary of her doing this and making a payment to a cold caller.so I checked online and saw the negative reviews other people had posted,and decided to block and cancel her credit card.NOT ON

I was told this number was Telephone Security Services, who wanted £1.90 per month to stop unwanted calls. Homeguard was never mentioned, although that is the name on the recorded message when you call them back......

I had a call from Paula who said she was from Telephone Security.  She told me we were still on 65 marketing lists.  For £79.99 for life cover she could get me off all the lists including the international ones.  I have looked for the company on line and have been unable to find them.

Secure telephone services, is a sister company to Homeguarddirect.co.uk. They have done the same to me. Thought it was £1.79 a month, taken £74.99 within 4 days. My bank is looking into it.

Just got a call from this mob.  When I asked where he got my number from he said it "from the database".  When I told him there was no database and my number was ex-directory he said that whoever I was paying was obviously not doing their job.  Told him I was with TPS and he said they were useless.  When I then told him I was going to report him he laughed; I hung up.  Don't ever let this bunch of shysters con you.

I have stupidly signed up with this company and just seen on Rip off Britain that they are a scam! They have taken £ 70 pounds out of my account.

I was called by Homeguard on the same number as Bob Pot above 0800 849 6117,& was told the same things, theyve noticed i am getting a lot of spam, calls ,this did not make sense,as surely only your telephone provider would know how many calls you were getting ,& from whom . I would not have parted with any money in any case, no company gets my debit or credit card numbers over the phone , unless its my car, or home insurances etc . I  had 3 calls last week off someone who couldnt speak English properly, they had my name & address ,but started to ask questions like how many people live in the house, & are you married , I asked who his company were,& he wouldnt say dailed 1471  no number . He rang again asking how i would describe the family income .My answer was f..k  all to do with you you annoying little [***] .He rang again a few days later ,this time i yelled abuse at him down the phone, after all if they dont leave a number they are scammers  & deserve all they get.

Homeguard Direct are the biggest con merchants out!  My dad, who is 83 and hard of hearing, has been bamboozled into paying insurance for tree roots in drains!!! He has no trees on his property nor do his neighbours and another insurance which was, I think, something to do with his aerial. I can't 100% recall as we managed to stop it after one payment!  My brother has just walked in on Dad on the phone and Dad was just about to give his bank card details to Homeguard Direct so he could pay to stop calls coming in off '63 lists he was on which are used by con merchants'!!! He is ex directory and registered with the telephone preference service but is obviously seen as someone who can be conned.  We are changing his phone number and not telling him as it's the only way we can stop this happening again. Words cannot describe how callous they are. STAY AWAY from this company.

Btw the number did not show when we did 1471 but I know for sure it was Homeguard Direct as my brother spoke to them.

Homeguard direct are the ones making the Nuisance and Malicious calls in the first place. They then have the nerve to offer to stop the calls for a price...Disgusting.
I have had nuisance calls for months, they always ask to speak to Mrs Gordon, who does not exist at this address and no amount of telling them made them stop or remove the number. They then tried to sell me various products anyway, all of which I declined and asked them not to call again. I recently started to get very menacing malicious calls followed by .....You guessed it !  Homeguard securities offering to stop my unwanted calls saying my number flagged up on 67 different call lists. I asked for his name, number, and said Thanks thats all I need to know. I tried to call bar their number straight away and it says there is  fault on the line.. strange
If I get any more menacing calls it will be the police calling them not me.

Calls from 08006226710 number also call themselves Homeguard Data Securities.

My elderly and ill dad has just been scammed by these people and they have taken money via his direct debit card. The bank says they can't do anything as it is his direct debit card but we can make a dispute with them after 15 days and should keep an eye on his account. We can't get an answer (surprise, surprise) from the company's phone number. Any advice?
