Why do you have to appear that you work for Sky. You were able to dup the costomer into believing you knew her history with sky insurance. A girl called Samantha sounded so plausable she caught me on the hop. When I tried to ring the number given to check up, the message i got was all phones were busy and it appears they are always that way.It appears not all con are foreigners

HOMEGUARD DIRECT LIMITED's scam phone techniques are a con, mate and you know it and we know it. This eclipses the good work your engineers may or may not do. Just be honest when you call and there wouldn't be pages of annoyed people complaining. Misrepresentation to gain a financial advantage is fraud.

These people contacted my father recently and convinced him they were from sky
After handing over his bank account details and cancelling the direct debit with sky via the bank
he was concerned and got in touch with sky directly who confirmed they (homeguard) are nothing to do with Sky.
When trying to get back in touch with homeguard via the telephone number they left the number was no longer in service.
He's been back in touch with his bank account and they are scrutenising the next month or so for payments made to this company.
Be warned people they are still operating.

Why would you report HG when they cannot access any account any way without a sort code and account number given over the phone?.it's a reduction they are offering you which if you compared prices to any 3rd party warranty provider does save a lot of money. It's your decision weather to take up the reduction so i wouldnt bother listening to these bunch of idiot's that are just assuming and clearly not listening to the calls properly. Good luck in reporting a company LOL.

i received a phone call from Homeguard Direct this afternoon. They said that the insurance on my satellite TV equipment was due for renewal, and that they could offer me a discount, as I hadn't made a claim. A card payment of £180 would have covered me for 42 months, ( 3 years, plus an extra 6 months free ). If I wanted to pay by direct debit, then I would have to pay £45 quarterly for the first year, then in the second and third years they do not take any payments from your bank account, i.e. £180 in total, for 3 years service cover, which is £5 a month. To me, that is reasonable. They are cheaper, because they have their own engineers, and are, in effect, cutting out the middle man.

true wot u say - but you try ringing for an engineer and see wot you get - if they ciome out to you then they must be good - but I had been trying for days to get them amnd no one answered the phone - scam job - they ripped my mother in law off for 180.00 and they need reporting as they are making money for old rope off pensisoners

Maggie - Do not use them they are a scam company - they will take money from your account - Trading Standards are aware

I have a policy with homeguard direct they are not a scam company, when my sky broke they sent out an engineer the next day and repaired it. They were able to reduce my payments when i took out the policy and everything was explained to me over the phone. Through my experience they offer a better breakdown service than domestic and general.
I would reccommend them.

There is an office in Portsmouth, infact I used to work there, if you dont want to have sky warranty with Homeguard then dont, no need to broadcast your complaints across the internet, it is easy to say no, or better still go on TPS

Had the same problem as you  i canceld on the 11th of nov 2010 they aslo want a £30.00 to cancel the policy in the meentime they have taken £60.00 out of my bank They dont seem intrested even thought i rang and canceled they say they did not recive my letter . please dont be fooled by this scumbag company like i have.

I recieved a phone call from Elise last week. She told me that sky sub contract there eng!!!! The funny thing is she called through to my work line and call's are recorded. Can u say FSA!!!!
Not to mention telling me I had Qaulified for a reduction. Lies lies lies as I dont have sky or a warrenty an you dont have any eng!!!!!

They called me tonight, same sales pitch about me having had no claims and due a reduction. Knew they were "at it" as I don't have a Sky repair plan. When I told them I wanted to write down their details and asked where they got my details they hung up! Shame really - I would have liked more info to pass on to trading standards.
