Why is this number calling my mobile, and why can't I call it back

Keep getting calls one right after the other from this number,tried calling back but number is witheld,i have no connection of any kind with Greater Glasgow Health Board or anyhing to do with nursing in any capacity,it`s beoming a real nuisance.

i got a call from this number and it was from a doctor at the hospital

Ninewells in Dundee also reports this number, so is probably part of the BT Contract for NHS Scotland.

It's a generic switchboard number for the NHS - That's what comes up whenever my boyfriend phones me from his work or if I phone anyone from mine.

I'm assuming after reading all your messages that the call (and no message, grrrr) I received this morning was from Queen Margaret Hosp Dunfermline, I'm waiting for physio and just recently gave my new number to them. It would be nice if they left a message to call back, I'm in agony!!
It must be an NHS Scotland wide number then.

I got a call from this number today 6/12/2010. It was from the NHS. A department within Inverness Raigmore Hospital

It is definately a generic NHS number.  My wife is a Staff Nurse and whenever the ward phones the house it shows this number.

This number is also used for NHS Fife outgoing calls.

It is NHS greater glasgow.  I called them and found out that there was another appointment scheduled for me as one of my previous appointments had been missed due to not receiving the appointment by post.  I asked why a message was not left and was informed that the staff are under instructions not to leave any messages on the answering machine

This number called me on my new mobile phone which also had a new sim card.   Who is supplying the caller with mobile numbers

My elderly mother was given this number by an occupational therapist from the Western Infirmary in Glasgow, but she can't remember why.

I received a missed call from this nomber when I tried to call back it said i cant do reply !

ONLY CALL I GOT TODAY WAS FROM LOCAL SURGERY  NURSE IN ANNAN AND IT WAS THIS NUMBER THAT CAME UP ON DISPLAY SO IT DEFINITELY IS A HEALTH SERVICE NUMBER..

This number called me at 11.45pm last night, !!! does any one know who this would be....i was really frustrated at geting woken up at that time.!!!
