Keep getting calls from this number on my moblie and home phone. Who is it ????

I never answered but would like to know how they got my number. I called back but they do not receive incoming.

Never answered either but would like to know who it is and how they got the number of my works mobile.

I work for the NHS in Glasgow and my friends have said that that's how my number comes up - I have to stress it's not me who's calling you!  It's only recently this has changed, it used to say "Withheld".  Perhaps it's a generic NHS ID?

This was introduced by the new BT contract NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde initiated last month.  It - according to StaffNet (the NHSGGC Intranet) - is specifically for community nurses with health board mobile phones so they know that it is their base calling - allegedly.

I just got a call from this number from hospital because my appoitment has changed. So this must be NHS Glasgow caller ID.

This is a generic NHS number, wife works at Stobhill hospital and called me at home. Missed call and this number showed up, used to be witheld.

This numbered called me at 21.55 hung up before i had time to answer.Others say its a Glasgow nhs number, tried to call back but doesnt tack in coming calls,worried that one of my family are in need of help . have lots of family in glasgow .live miles a way .why didnt you leave a message!HAVE LOTS OF PHONE CALLS TO MAKE THANKS FOR NOTHING.

I received it as a phone call from Glasgow University's School Of Medicine

I had a call from this (0800-freephone) number, the caller had just previously been admitted to A&E (Ninewells). Must be NHS landline/mobile number!

It is a NHS number, NHS Tayside also use this aswell.  You cannot call back as it doesnt trace right back to the phone that called you, just the network it is calling from, so all phones are the same.  Royal Dundee Liff Hospital use this number too! Must be Scotland wide.

This is the external number for the NHS switchboard, it could be any member of staff from any hospital in NHS Scotland.

As said it's a generic NHS switchboard number, when my wife calls me from her work (in Glasgow Royal Infirmary) this is the number that shows up on my mobile.

This site is useful as I had all of the above and I am reassured that it is the hospital calling to rearrange or offer me an appointment.  May be a cancelation and they will either call again or write to me.  Good website. J x

This number is definitely NHS Glasgow calling you. Don't bother phoning back as the number does not accept incoming calls (0800???).
If you've had recent contact with Hospital or Health Board you'll know the number to phone back.
