I just got a call from this number and they were happy to ask my details but wen I refused to tell them before they told me who they were they hung up the phone the csa I guess

19.30 caller asks for someone who doesn,t live at this address. When challenged said he he was calling from dept of works and pensions.

i had a call from this no if they are from csa or any other offices why they dont write to you and why they harrasing you this way this extremly out of order.

this is the CSA, i had a call from them tonight to ask whether i still wanted to pursue my ex-hub after he got on the phone to them rather upset & ranting!!My daughter initiated the claim,but cause i had to verify the details & that of our son,the claim was put into my name,much to the bemusement of my ex...they verified this to my ex thankfully as he wouldnt believe me when i told him this...dont know why hes "upset" though,he hasnt paid a penny towards his kids upbringing in over 11 yrs,save for a few items of school wear!!

100% agree. It's very difficult for legit outbound callers to help the general public to understand that it's a lega requirement to protect personal information. This number is indeed for DWP and they were trying to contact me to arrange a meeting....there is nothing sinister here

It's the number for the Department for Work and Pensions, regarding Jobseekers' Allowance. I was recently made redundant and have decided to get all the help I can in finding a new job, so I've put in for JSA. I spoke to a very polite woman and we chatted for a little bit about what I'm looking for etc, and arrange a 'new jobseekers' interview.

This number is a cover all for the government. In my case it's the c.s.a. trying to reclaim money from 18/20yrs ago. My problem is that I did give my ex £40 a week for this period, but didn't pay by cheque, so there is no legal record of this. Guess what?......I now have to pay all over again!!

I own a tattoo shop, this number just called and a woman asked if i would tattoo her 16 year old son.
I could hear a call center background noise, of course I said no as it is illegal.
Who are they??? Why would the dwp or csa ask that?

i had a call but never answered it. i did claim jsa yesterday and im waiting for my interview. maybe this was them

This number phoned me and asked for me by name, but refused to say who they were.
Why?
I put the phone down and did a redial to find out who it was. It didn't say.
WHY NOT?
I searched the number and found out it was the CSA.
I rang it back and the message said they had failed to make contact and they would ring me later.
This is totally ridiculous

0800 783 8527 belongs to the DWP and CSA, you can call them on 08457 137086.
I asked one of their staff wy you can  not call back the 0800 number and he said its to ensure the right person is contacted as there are a lot of people who work there dealing with various things.
the cahp I spoke to was chasing up an old debt (for which they have got the amounts wrong!) but he was very riendly and helpfull and also said they do not like to write to you because a lot of peopel have moved over the years or just ingnore letters.

After ringing the CSA over a month ago to tell them that my working tax credit had been reduced by £20 a week and could they recalculate my Child maintenance payments to reflect the lower income, I gave them until the 29 April to give me the new calculation if nothing received by this date then I would cancel the DD - which I did so as from today they have started ringing me again, even though I've told them they can ring me at work (which they didn't rang my mobile) or put everything in writing.

I just got a call from this number asking for my partner, I asked who was calling and the woman ignored the question. I tried calling back and it went to an automated voice saying I was unavailable today and they will call back later, no hint as to who it is. :/

ive had a few calls from this number..it is the csa...but what baffles me is when you have to ring them its a 0845 number,yet when they ring you its a free phone number......that just says it all dosnt it really,
