It's only a jobcentre call after I had registered with them via online form.

had 3 missed calls from these people before i managed to answer one. They asked me for a random guys name. i told them i had no idea who he was and asked them who they were and how they got my number. they told me due to data protection they could give me no details! i reminded them they rang me so what data was there to protect, they would still give me nothing.

It is the Job Centre or part of the DWP.  I submitted a claim online on 16/01/09, and missed a call from this number.  The annoying thing is the call was received at 0811 ON A SATURDAY MORNING!  Bl**dy cheek!!  I recently rang it out of curiousity only to get a recorded message saying they'd call back and it hung up.  I only found out what the number could be when I Googled it and came across this useful website.  Great, one number down, a few more to go...  I hate telemarketing calls, so try to report them to the TPS where I can.

i had this number call me at 19:07 last night, so i did a search and noticed people saying was csa so i rang the csa direct, they told me they had called me yesterday at that time so that solved my problem, just wish they had updated all  my contact details when i called them number of times to update all my phone numbers then they wouldnt of called my previous address looking for me!

Wanting personal info

Asked for personal info early on a Sunday morning.  Was upset as I had no proof of who the caller was.  Asking for info they should already have.  Tried calling number back and other CSA number for clarification to ease my worry, but no reply.

i have since come to an arrangement with my ex partner and the claim has been cancelled so i havent a clue why they are still calling me???

i am also in full time employment so it cant be about jobseekers or any other benefit as i don't receive any.

Just got a call from this number afetr missing it twice last week. It was a call from a guy called ?Chris from CSA asking for my national insurance number. I said that I do not give infomation over the telephone and I would call them. They hung up. Deffo a scam. ignore it.

Today I have had three calls from this tel number - each time they ask for another person, I asked if it was the CSA and very sheepishly the caller said yes.  I have had many dealing with the agency and when I want them to ring me they dont, now i carnt bloody stop them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

after reading these comments I now realise how stupid some people are...
A simple look up will show you that this is a government body, either CSA or JSA.

this number keeps foning it could be anyone yet they ask for personal imformation that im not giving on the fone.we never gave them our number and feel it an invation of privacy to use it as it ex derectory .if it was an individual making these calls they would be procecuted on grounds of harrassment but because they r the csa they think they can rule ur lives.

Just had a call from this number, this is not the first time either. This is clearly a number that DWP and CSA use when trying to contact people. The guy at the other end asked to speak to my wife, I said she wasn't in could i take a message, he said no, i told him that if he was CSA he had better write to her, and not to bother phoning my number again, he did not admit he was CSA, but did say that he would write to her. As I said this has happened before and I recognise the format of their phone calls, as on a couple of occasions she has been in and its only when i've passed the phone to her that it's became apparent who it was.
Tell these people who phone and don't identify themselves to [***], and put everything in writing to you. They hate doing that as it leaves a paper trail of evidence, which in the case of the CSA usually highlights their incompetence.

I keep getting calls from 08007838527 on my mobile, and over the last week, a few moments later I get a withheld number call the land line too. I never answer 0800 or withheld numbers. Surely if there was an important or official reason for the calls a message would be left?

I took the call. Asked for wife. Said was a private matter. Passed it over and discovered they were from CSA. Never had any payments whatsoever from wifes ex, who dissapeared 10 years ago. wanted to know if youngest son was working or in college? He turned 19 back in nov 08 so what has it to do with them? Very strange!!!

was on the phone to csa regagarding no payment in 3 years and 20 minutes later this number was on my mobile strange! then phoned them back after using this site and they have no record of this. Whats that all about.
