Report a phone call from 08007838527 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- brianmy friend phoned me telling me that this number called her asking for me!!
the only way they could have my name is through FACEBOOK as i am only on my friends business group page and nowere else!!!
My god if that is the way facebook are going that EVERYONE can trace ANYONE through there website then perhaps FACEBOOK had better change their policy!

- paulit is jobcentre plus , i registered online friday, missed the call today, said they will call back
- SammWell, im fourteen, this is getting a bit out of hand here.
ive had atleast three missed calls fromthis number and when i aswered one of them it asked for a person called samuel.
Now, my name is Sam, but I Am a Samantha.
Is this unusual...? since so many people have had a call from this number? - SamanthaThis is the low lifes from the CSA I'm afraid, useless uncaring idiots!!
- radive paid between 300 and 700 each month for the past 5 month and they still want more only have 1 child when does it get realistic
- A to Zi just had a call on that number,, didnt answer it, i read a very early post on this thread stating that all they need to do is ring and they can find out the phones position, i doubt very much if they can triangulate a phones position that accurately. Ive been getting these calls for years,, and it was the CSA that rung me at the start, i have nothing to do with the csa and told them so, i still keep getting calls, prob 2-3 a year. I just dont bother answering. And as i move around a lot for my living ( im a tramp) lol,, they can try and figure out where i am all they like, albeit i doubt they do have that kind of power to do that.
Just do what i do,, dont answer. - K SerOut doing some gardening today; a chap rings so I come back into the kitchen and answer the phone - the conversation, pretty much verbatim, follows.
Chap: "Could I speak to Mr"x" please"(my partner of many years)
Me: "Sorry, he's not available at present. Could I take a message?"
Chap: "No, this is regarding a private matter. I'll call back later."
Me: "Well, could you just say who called please?"
Chap: "No, I need to talk to Mr"x" privately."
Me - thinks "This all sounds very vague and dodgy..."
Me - says, somewhat dismayed at the oddity of this "oh..."
I decide to put the phone down at this point, ring partner & leave a message on his mobile to tell him of this strange man seeking him, and then dial 1471. Next, I Google the number and OK, it appears to be the CSA with whom he has had dealings for some years (I've even helped to fill out the forms on some occasions)...
Fair enough, but if anyone from the CSA is reading this, please do think of a better way to introduce yourself! We've already been targeted by phone scams in the past and even had them somehow override the TPS on our home landline, so no wonder I am somewhat dismayed at this call.
I realise that it may not be ideal to announce yourselves as the CSA in certain circumstances, but there has to be a way of at least proving that you are a legitimate body calling and not a fraudster.
My partner did phone me shortly thereafter and confirm it was the CSA as they had called his mobile too - he also said that the chap had apologised for his vagueness to me. Very kind, Im sure, but as I've already said, some better initial identification would have been far preferable.- Caller: CSA
- jenniferi missed a call on saturday off this number, and my childs father called me and said his boss recieved a call in work asking if my ex partner still works there, his boss said yes but the person who was on the phone did not ask for my childs father wich i think is unusual, then i realised id had a missed call off an unusual number so i tried to call the number back and it was just a silly answering machine,i am not happy over what has happened as 1 they didnt even ask for my childs father they just spoken to his boss, and 2,why would they call me??
- Caller: i still dont know
- dizzyizzyI had this no. call me, it was in response to a jobseekers claim made, they call you back to go thru your details.

- lesboth me and my partner (on our mobiles) got a call asking for my partners ex wife by name, his son lives with us so i rang csa they said it was nothing to do with them they use 08456 numbers very annoying and confusing.
- BenI had a call from this number and after looking at some of the above comments i have come to the conclusion it would be something to do with the adverts that i posted online looking for employees. JCP in my opinion

- Mark| 1 replythis number is a legit number when the DWP need to contact you regarding benefit claims or anything else this department works with. Just about everyone in the country have ties to the DWP in some way. Its not a scam. what is this pathetic paranoia that this is some government scam. Just speak to them you idiots and you'll realise you probably need to speak to them
As for the "asking for your date of birth" issue - what do you expect them to do with that information. I know hundreds of peoples dates of birth, am i going to fraud them all using their birthdays? Am i going to take down the country from the inside because i know when my old classmate was born? idiots - kimmy piethis is the CSA. i checked it today.

- VictoriaHi,
My partner recived a call from this number today and when he phoned them back it said he had missed a call and they would phone him back so I checked this site and took the chance of it being CSA's number as he was waiting to hear from them.....he then phoned CSA and true to form this was who had called so I'm thinking this could be a general switchboard or automated call that then goes through to a switchbord when you answer and this could be for all cases.
But only you can decide if you want to answer or not....I'm not here to judge people and none of you should either....what you should be doing is offering help not trying to put a label on anyone and everyone that puts a comment up here because for all you know they could be the most innocent person and your sitting there (Ralph McGuiness) typing away cursing everyone naming them a tax dodger you should think about what your saying before opening your mouth! And if you do work for the DWP I hope your sacked for the way you speak to people!!!!
08007838527 - This is the number that phoned
08457 133 133 - This is the general number for CSA - laif you are claiming benefits then if we need to ring you this is the number that will- it is a standardised number for all gov. depts.
- LAor when my boss rings me on my mobile if i am off it comes up too
- bgriffinasked for my son wouldn't leave a message
- Caller: refused to say
- innit essexJust rang me on a saturday
- JMWI had this call but was on the loo at the time - could be CSA, who still haven't dealt with a complaint I lodged nor sent all the information they hold on me to back up my complaint, though had an acknowledgement from the data protection dept that they are sorting the info out for me! Could also be DWP as I have just got a new job, or the Child Tax credits as I have just renewed. Basically any government department! Now as for the paranoia someone mentioned - if the government are involved then we should all be sceptical! Why else have you found this site?
- Caller: CSA/DWP
- nettyi had dealings with the csa. all resolved now, ex paying for the kids. however, this number always came up and i stored it for when they rang me. everything going fine, but this rung me again today, so i rung back the csa number and they say no one has rung me. odd.
